Kronhaus — Hotel in Zona Metropolitană Brașov

So, the house is very nice, especially if you don`t shy away from many stairs. Not a problem for me, but take into consideration that you will have to climb a lot. It is located near the center of town, in an old refurbished building. I stayed in the double room facing Tampa Mountain (de luxe or smth) so the view was wonderful. The room is not big, but the bed is highly comfy and you get everything you need for a good stay. There is even a smart TV, not that anyone comes in Brasov to stay inside..Well, there are also common parts, a wide living room with old furniture and wonderful decorations and also a small kitchen with everything you need for a snack or the complimentary breakfast. Ok, now I will stop with the praising and underline 2 small problems: in the room I found 2 bugs...I think they live in the wood beams , but I did not like them at all :D And one other thing: I.m on a diet and put 2 sandwiches in the common fridge...in the back of it, so no one will be deranged by them. Mind you, in the morning I found them out, on the counter top, obviously uneatable because of the heat. Why?! I will never know. Maybe it was one of the other guests, but the gesture was not nice at all....About the night sleep, this is a house on wooden frame. If you have the bad chance to have noisy guests on top, you are doomed. People staying at the last floor let me sleep a maximum of 4 hours. |||We had the privilege to stay in Kronhaus Brașov in February 2018 over a snowboarding holiday. Beautiful loft apartment right in the heart of Brasov, the old town centre. Spacious, warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We had the whole apartment to ourselves, as a group of 6 individuals. Every room was good size and the beds were comfortable.|The whole house through it’s quirky layout and character, the antiques furniture and art work are a testimony to Gabriela’s vision, warmth, sense of style and commitment to the place and her customers. She was always easily reachable, ready to help and made sure we enjoyed our time, which we did. The house had everything we needed whilst we were there, breakfast bar and barbecue, the gym, a massage chair ( that turned out to be very popular) and the well equipped utility room. Parking was an absolute bonus. The location is perfect as it’s walking distance from the main square, public transport, many bars, restaurants and clubs as well as small shops and pharmacies. I stayed at the Wine Cellar Apartment for 2 nights during a solo trip to Brasov. Although it is not easy to find with no clear signage in the street, the manager got in touch earlier to ask for my arrival time so that he can meet me at the property and hand over the keys. The location is absolutely perfect and near all the shops and restaurants in the Old Town, the apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything you need in a self service accommodation. ||||Although the apartment itself was great, Robert the manager is what, at least for me, set this place apart from most other places I have stayed at. As mentioned, he met me very late at the apartment and then took the time to share a list and explain, in detail, his most favorite restaurants and bars in the area. The next morning we met for coffee and Robert gave some advice with regards to things to do in the area. He was available 24 hours a day for any questions I might have, and when I wanted to check out he was at the flat within 5 minutes to pick up the keys.
