The food was enjoyable, but the service left much to be desired. When we finished our meal and requested the bill, it never arrived at our table. After waiting for an unusually long time, we had to go upstairs to pay. Unfortunately, the experience became even more uncomfortable there.
The staff member with blonde hair acted unprofessionally. She stared directly at us while we entered our card PIN, which felt intrusive and inappropriate. When my husband politely asked why she was staring, her dismissive response was, ‘Why not? Why does it matter? I don’t have your card.’ This kind of attitude is unacceptable and made us feel uneasy. Additionally, she seemed distracted and slow in serving because she was preoccupied with drinking her own juice.
To the owner: Please ensure your staff are properly trained to respect customer privacy during payment. It is entirely inappropriate for employees to stare at customers entering their PIN, let alone dismiss their concerns in such a manner. As 2 female travellers this was an unpleasant experience however had I been a male I feel this would not of been the case. The service was terrible, the waiter gave us 1 menu and gave us a minute to order we were not ready we said this he came back again seconds later again we were not ready. The food came after a long wait and it was just alright and very dry. We waited for the bill for ages, only for it to turn up with a gratuity charge which is not mandatory and you can leave a tip of your choice if you choose to at the end - if the service and food is good. So we asked for it to be removed the male waiter did not like this and argued we HAD to pay it, we knew we didn’t and after back and fourth he removed it then he stormed off. I went inside to pay and he snatched the money and bill out my hands and then when returning the change he told me ‘never come back to this restaurant’ very aggressively. Ordered through glovo. It took 3 hours for them to mark the order as "DELIVERED" (even tough they did not delivered it), most probably they did it for the app stats on preparation and delivery time. Menu on the app was outdated as they don't actually mark the items as OOS (OutOfStock) they just call you after 1 hour to ask you for a replacement(was pretty hungry so I accepted whatever even tough the OOS item was the reason of why I ordered food online).
As for the food, I didn't actually eat it yet because as I was saying they marked it as delivered, 40 minutes passed after that and there's still nobody with some food at my door, they also ask for delivery fees (even tough it takes them 4 hours to do a delivery).
My recommendation is to get someone trained if you also want to manage dine-in and delivery services, as the current management clearly seems to be lacking the necessary expertise or skills for handling both aspects...
