There are not too many places where you can get breakfast in Brasov, so we went for La Birou bistro (4.8 rating). The bistro is located in a quite side street. The service was good but can not compensate the breakfast and the high prices.
Just before heading to the bistro I made myself an instant coffee (Bellarom) in my apartment room. Ordering a moccachino it tasted like my instant coffee, what a shame. The pancakes also tasted like a warmed up convenience product from the supermarket. Smoothies are made from syrup and powder. One breakfast, pancakes and two drinks was far more expensive than a high quality dinner one day before at a great Italian restaurant.
To be honest, for that price it was a shame and I cannot recommend this bistro for everyone who searches for food and coffee quality. In Munich (Germany) you will get better breakfast quality for the same price - but it is Germany. We are in Romania.
I cannot understand the rating of other customers, maybe the reason is the lack of good breakfast places in Brasov... No...

I recently visited La Birou Bistro, and I was thoroughly impressed! The cozy atmosphere combined with the warm, friendly service makes it a standout spot in the heart of Brașov. The menu is thoughtfully curated, focusing on breakfast, brunch, and their signature smashed burgers, which are absolutely delicious.
The ingredients taste fresh, and you can tell there’s a lot of attention to detail in every dish. I especially appreciated the balance of flavors and the presentation. The outdoor terrace is spacious and perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or simply relaxing.
Whether you’re looking for a hearty breakfast, a casual brunch, or just a great burger, this place won’t disappoint. I can’t wait to see what new items they’ll add to their already fantastic menu!
Highly recommended for food lovers...
Read moreVery good food and a good place to have breakfast/brunch. However they have this system in place that it's supposetly meant to optimize their kitchen. This means that if you go there you might wait for an hour to get your food while watching how people whi came in after you eat and eat and eat. This is even more stressful when you come with small children. No priority for you! You get to wait longer. The same thing happened to a tourists family with a small child when we were waiting for our food. And the staff just continued to tell us about their "system", no appologies, no nothing. They seemed eager to prove us that we were wrong and they were right which is an unplesant attitude in a restaurant. Anyway...food is good and worth a shot. Hope you don't get on the wrong side of "the...
