Booked a room for three nights through booking.com. The most notorious aspect was the pricing part. I booked the room at the price mentioned. But THE CHARGES FOR THE VISA INVITATION(Kind of confirmation from hotel in Russia to apply for Russian Visa) WERE EXORBITANT 25 % OF HOTEL ROOM COST. This was after non-refundable booking. They should clearly mention before booking that we charge this much for visa invitation. This is totally unacceptable & unethical. BTW, Intercontinental In Moscow sent us the visa invitation for free. I paid almost as much as I paid for a 5-star room in Moscow (Including breakfast for 2 adults & one child) for a room that was considerably smaller & without breakfast included.||The second was that the bed size & room size was quite small from what was mentioned on the booking site.||Third, there was no telephone or intercom in the room. You were supposed to contact hotel staff on WhatsApp!||Although, I must add that the staff at the reception was quite cooperative.||Overall I would strongly suggest avoiding all Kaleidoscope properties as they don't appear to very ethical. Choose any well known international...
Read moreGreat place to stay. Very central. Staff very helpful. Room was a good size and has all the amenities including a kettle. Edit - just read some of the trip advisor comments. Wow can’t believe I’m staying at the same hotel. Yes there is building work going on next door but don’t let that stop you. The road is always busy, but they provided me with ear plugs free of charge. There is food all around the place and it mostly stays open till 22 or 23pm or if your in a jam there is the normal fast food places which are open 24x7 if you need comfort food. Every thing is within a short walk of the hotel including the boats the the palace. Shopping well there’s over 1.3 miles of it on one road alone just round the corner. On the first day we walked 12 miles without realising it just window shopping. So have a pleasant stay get out early come back late and enjoy your stay we are. P.s bring a light weight rain coat the ones you can fold up in a bag as it sometimes rain and if it does you don’t...
Read moreNice and new boutique hotel in the very heart of St. Petersburg. 5 Minutes walk from the Ermitage. Metro 2 minutes. Grocery 2 minutes. ||The hotel is new and in very good condition. Modern design. Even the rooms to the Malaya Morskaya road are calm when the windows are closed. My room was on two storeys with a small kitchen. ||Good value for money. Because of Covid I've chosen a small hotel and it was better fournished and cleaner than the international hotel groups (5 stars) in the centre I stayed usually. ||The reception contacted me by whatsapp and was very helpful for the special requests I had. I will stay...
