Hôtel ganalé — Hotel in Dakar

I arrived at Hotel Ganale from the airport late. The check in desk was open and they whisked me up to my room - not the regular room I had booked, but a suite, self-contained on the roof of the hotel It was so cool. I had a wonderful living room area, with great seating and a big desk. It was quite lovely. I had TV, AC, WiFi, hot water, and even a bathtub. Outside my room I had a private roof top patio with a table and chairs. (I didn't actually use the outside area as it was too hot, but I loved having the option.||||The location is great. Walking distance to everything you could want to see (markets, mosques, museums, the ferry terminal, he covid testing centre, etc). Tons of cafes and restaurants close by, as well as the Institut Français, which has a welcome shady restaurant and an outdoor concert stage.||||Breakfast was included and was excellent with local and European offerings.||||The staff were so kind and helpful.||||I don't know how often this happens, but the last night I was there, there was live jazz in the restaurant connected to the hotel. It was great.||||I would without hesitation recommend this hotel and I would stay...

I was booked in this hotel through my travel agent. I had a feeling that it would not be according to my requirement. I booked this hotel for 2 days only. I made a right decision.||When I checked-in at 3am and the reception was dark without any light, only bulb was giving light to the reception desk.||The room was less than average with the price I was booked by my travel agent. My preference was to stay in DownTown due to my movement for my meetings near this area.||The overall room was very old construction with no renovation at all. The bed was uncomfortable and the linen was made myself very difficult to sleep. The toilet was with towels that seemed was washed by hand without any hygienic process. Hotels in Senegal is very expensive compared to Nigeria..Ganale is in a quiet and posh environment and less than 8 min walk to Assemblie Nationale. Not too many shops to buy grocery close by Ganale. Has very modern furnishing. Clean and modern bathrooms and accessory. Very cosy bed and washhand basin is very modern.. Single room goes for discount as low as N27k to N30k but u forgo breakfast...room is quite small but cozy...verify or check that the AC works well in your room before you stay over..N if you desire a room change for any reason, they will do it for you.
