Cocotier du Rocher — Hotel in La Digue

We came back exactly 10 years after we first visited. And I am so glad we did. Cocotier Du Rocher is located in a tropical garden that makes you relax and enjoy from the first moment. We felt like coming back to old friends we hadn't seen in a long time. The location consists of small houses that are fully equipped for self-catering, complete with kitchen, a big fridge, and all you need. Traveling with two small children, sometimes the rooms in normal hotels feel a bit small when needing extra beds. Not here, we had a king-size and two normal beds for the kids, and the big veranda including two sunbeds is perfect for a family. The nice bathroom including a walk-in shower, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and an additional outdoor shower completed the beautiful and clean house we stayed in.||The location on the island is actually a secret plus. Essentially, you can get everywhere on the West Coast within 15 minutes by bike. So getting around is easy and quick, but at the same time, you might want to avoid the day tourist stream that moves from the port down to Anse Source d'Argent and back. If you stay a couple of days on La Digue, you might want to go to Anse Severe for the sunset, down to Grand Anse, Petite Anse, and Anse Coco, or go up the hill to Nid d'Aigle or the Veuve Nature Reserve and other locations. Cocotier du Rocher is almost perfectly located to get quickly to all these locations.||Finally, Stephan and his team are always helpful and provide tips and suggestions to further enjoy this dream island. Stephan and his team are part of the island's community, and we felt that more than once when we ran into some small unplanned things while exploring the island. As a local with got a warm welcome by the host with some lovely fresh passion fruit juice, The locate really remind and feel like my home.|The room was neat and tidy, The kitchen was fully equipped and the bath room was very spacious, I really love the coral frame with mirror.😃|The bed i very comfortable , both AC and fan are available in the room.|Our room was refresh daily.|On the lovely veranda with enjoy our own drink and snack.|Also there is mosquito net around the bed which great for the evening.|The only things which was missing was TV , but that did not bother us too much we were mostly spend our day out except for the evening.|But i will recommend to have tv place for other guest , especially with kids.|And just a few Maintenance need to be done.|I will highly recommend regular fogging as the villa is surrounded with beautiful garden which attracts bugs.|Overall a wonderful stay all the staff was very helpful and kind,|Thank you...

Cocotier is a special place that you'd be foolish to not consider for your stay in La Digue. Before I talk about the property, I want to talk about the level of service provided by Stephan and his staff. They are as top notch as it gets. If you ask for something, not only does it happen, it happens quickly. The level of service rivals that of brand name luxury hotels that we have stayed at. It was impressive to say the least. As for the property, it's well maintained and full of beautiful flora. It was close enough to the downtown area to be convenient but far enough to be quiet and private. The room was very clean and refreshed daily. Plenty of hot water, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the bed was comfortable. Overall, it was the ideal spot but what really made it was Stephan. I really can't say enough about how he treated us during our stay and how it contributed to an amazing stay on the island.
