My girlfriend and I recently attended a painting class in this place with high hopes, drawn by its promising atmosphere and good food. However, our experience ended up falling short of expectations due to the disappointing service we received. From the moment we walked in, it was apparent that the staff lacked basic customer service skills. We were completely ignored and left to fend for ourselves, unsure of where to sit or what was happening. This lack of attention and guidance made us feel unwelcome and lost.
While we appreciated the nice surroundings and the delicious food, these positive aspects were overshadowed by the subpar service we encountered. One of the main reasons we chose this class was because we were told it would be English-friendly. Unfortunately, the reality was far from that. The instructions from Veronika were predominantly given in Slovakian, which posed a challenge for me to follow along. Although my girlfriend speaks Slovakian, she wasn't sitting next to me, so her efforts to translate were limited.
In a creative environment like a painting class, it is crucial for instructors to create a warm and inclusive ambiance that encourages creativity and fosters a sense of community. Regrettably, this was sorely lacking during our experience. The lack of attention from the staff and the failure to deliver on the promised English-friendly environment created a negative atmosphere that dampened our enthusiasm.
In summary, our painting class experience in this place was marred by the disappointing service we received. Despite the nice surroundings and good food, the lack of attention from the staff and the failure to deliver on the promised English-friendly environment left us with a sense of disappointment. We hope that the organizers of the class take this feedback constructively and make the necessary improvements to enhance the overall experience for future...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience with instructor Robin during a previous visit. His guidance and support made the course enjoyable and fulfilling for both myself and my Slovak friend.
While the venue and drinks were lovely, my recent experience with instructor Veronika was extremely disappointing. Despite the course being advertised as "English friendly," the instructions were exclusively in Slovak, leaving my two non-Slovak speaking friends feeling excluded. When I kindly asked Veronika to translate for them, she suggested that I do it myself, saying she was too busy assisting other guests with color choices.
Furthermore, Veronika's attitude towards one of my friends was unacceptably rude when she asked about special color requests. Considering the €45 fee for the course, one would reasonably expect the freedom to mix colors to suit personal preferences, especially when the artwork will be displayed in one's own home. I fully support the wish to not waste any colour, but mixing a blue colour and "selling" it to my friend as "green" is not appropriate. Additionally, it was disheartening to overhear Veronika complaining about my friend to other guests in Slovak.
That being said I would come again but with a different instructor and only with slovak...
Read moreI highly recommend checking this place out for their art courses. I recently attended one of the acrylic painting workshops and loved it! I was a bit worried due to a few reviews saying it was not as English-friendly as advertised, but my instructor, Alina, was so lovely and explained all the crucial parts to me clearly. Inside, the space is beautiful and cozy, with a huge selection of paint which helped a lot to get my perfect colour. I was also impressed that each guest was provided a free drink (I chose a delicious lemonade), and was able to nibble on cheese and crackers from the shared charcuterie board. Would love to...
