Charming & Cozy - Ambiente Apartments - Check-in Point — Hotel in Bratislava

Pros:||- The location is ideal; 1 min on foot from the main gate of the old town, but not in the old town which can be very noisy. The neighborhood feels safe and is well lit. There are supermarkets, cafes and restaurants nearby. The central bus station (bus to the airport) is less than 15' on foot.||- Very good communication; we booked this last-minute apartment after cancelling a room in the old town. We were given precise info on how to get to the apartment, keys, etc. since we had to check in late (reception closes at 19:00). There is a reception right next door and a clear sign with the apartments logo, so they're very easy to find. Check out is also automated.||- The apartment included a nice bathroom, a small kitchen-living room and a separate small bedroom (with a sizeable double bed). The furnishing is simple but nice and includes a huge TV set.||- the kitchen was fully equipped for basic meals preparation - some instant coffee and tea sachets were also provided.||- the apartment was very warm (not in a bad way) despite the fact that the heating seemed turned off.||- good value for money overall.||||Cons:||- our apartment was on the first floor (level 2, with level 1 being the ground floor). Although the windows provided good sound proofing against traffic, I couldn't say the same for the noise coming from the ground floor where a pancake store is located. We woke up early every morning to loud music and conversations. The most important issue, however, was the pancake batter smell inside the apartment (probably due to inadequate ventilation). This might sound weird since the smell is not essentially bad, but it was so overwhelming. Luckily, the weather was good and we could open the windows quite often.||- the provided bathroom towels were clean but worn out, one of them even bearing a hole.||- our room was much smaller than what is implied in the pictures - they either refer to a different room type or (most likely) are very stretched out.||- Cleanliness...

Staff are very friendly and helpful with plenty of advice on restaurants and shops in the area. The apartments are in the same building as the reception. We booked the pent house apartment with breakfast, unfortunately breakfast was no longer a option but a refund was offered. The apartments are in a great location just a few minutes’ walk to the centre with plenty of bar, restaurants and shop close by. The view from the balcony over looked a busy street on one side and the Presidential Place on the other. The apartment seemed to be well equipped, although we did not use anything (on holiday so eat out all the time). The furniture was a little dated and possibly need a makeover but was fine for our needs. Only one negative comment advertised as including toiletries. We only received 4 small sachets of liquid soap for our 4 night stay, so bring soap! Would book again just for...

The apartment is very modern and clean. The kitchen is well equipped. There is a washing machine in the bathroom. Parking is available at extra costs. The city center is just around the corner. Check in is all contactless which can be a bit confusing. Upon arrival you need to collect your key from a key safe with the code provided by email. All support is done by phone or email. We never met any staff. There is no name on the building. We had to look for the right entrance and the passage with the key boxes. It is a great place to stay. We brought a wheelchair which was not always easy. The entrance to the building had a narrow door and the elevator was very small. It would just fit the wheelchair but then noone else...
