It took us a little while to find when we arrived, however once we had found someone who knew where the Hotel Morava is (very close to this one, but better known!) we discovered a great little pension that turned out to be superb value.||||We had our own studio style apartment with bathroom that had a separate entrance, so no need to go in past reception or down long corridors of rooms when coming and going which was quite refreshing. We were using a ski school that had its nursery slope and a ski rental place just opposite our doorway, which was very handy and reduced the amount of cramp inducing walking we had to do in our ski boots!||||The room wasn't huge, but certainly large enough for the two of us (twin beds) and had enough room in the fridge for a few days worth of milk, juice, and food. Toilet paper was supplied each day and towels changed if wanted.||||The blinds were a little stiff so you had to reach out of the window and pull them down manually, and it was a little noisy in the morning once the ski school started up and playing music, but those were really only minor concerns - and we were usually up when the ski school got going anyway.||||The staff were exceptionally helpful, they booked us a taxi to Poprad for our final morning, using a company we had found advertised elsewhere and they checked the prices etc were correct for us. We were also given free postcards which was a nice little touch!||||We ate breakfast in the restaurant once, it was okay, pretty standard food and fine if you don't want to bother buying things in for the room. However we went down to the supermarket and bought our own cereal and juice etc which worked out a lot cheaper.||||It was also only a 10-15 minute walk from here to the foot of the slopes, which is closer than many of the other hotels/B&Bs in the town.||||I would highly recommend this place, and would definitely stay here again if I were...
Read moreStarting from the positives. The room is clean, newly built, wooden and quite spacious. Moreover it has a fully equiped kitchennete. However this is not a hotel. It does not have 24/7 h reception and no cleaning service for the room. Finally the area around the pension and the hotel has not lights at all during night. Literally no lights not even at the parking lot making a little creepy to leave your car in the absolute dark and walk outside in your hotel with flashlights. 3 stars from me because although the rooms are clean, there are no lights in the yard surrounding the pension, not even its entrance and its price is high for the services it provides( just a clean new room, no other services not even english speakig reception ) Dont be confused that it shares the same building with a hotel( hotel tenniscentrum) it is not the...
Read moreI've been there for a few days, and I can say, this was a good location, near some good restaurants. Also really near the lift to lift up to points of the mountains. Breakfast was tasty, it was kind of funny 😁 that always there was some kind if sausage, and some kind of cooked eggs, to be fair they were tasty. The rest of the food was also good but, there wasn't much more of it, but just enough. Rooms were nice, the only minus about ours that we had to climb extra stairs in our room, after a 15km hiking trip, but still, nice rooms. Also, there were some deer that were near the hotel, and weren't scared of people. So yeah a perfect...
