A Pleasant Stay with Outstanding Service and Serene Surroundings

We spent two delightful nights at this charming hotel and were thoroughly impressed by the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed.

Breakfast each morning was a true highlight — a beautifully presented selection of fresh and delicious offerings that left nothing to be desired. It was the perfect start to each day, enjoyed in a peaceful, inviting atmosphere and outdoor seating.

That said, the hotel itself shows signs of age. While everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained, the interiors — particularly the guest rooms — could benefit from a thoughtful renovation or a touch of modern flair. A gentle “glow-up” would undoubtedly elevate the experience and bring new life to the space without compromising its inherent charm.

Overall, this hotel offers a lovely blend of old-world hospitality and peaceful surroundings. With its exceptional service, excellent breakfast, and friendly ambiance, it remains a delightful choice — especially if one can look past its slightly dated appearance.

Where to start - this was one of the best hotels I've had the pleasure of staying at during these past few years. We arrived late in the evening after a long drive, and the receptionist kindly offered us a room upgrade upon arrival (to a one-bedroom apartment), as well as a welcome drink. We were shown to our room, and wow, what a view! Both the bedroom and the open plan offer unobstructed views. Rooms boast a shared outdoor terrace overlooking the tranquil mountains surrounding Bovec. The hotel was very quiet, so the terrace was pretty private most of the time. Indoors, the apartment could not be cleaner. It has a fully equipped kitchen including an oven, which came in handy after long days exploring the outdoors. The sitting area and TV were also a great addition. Upon checking out we were gifted with a small jar of locally produced jam, a nice touch from this amazing hotel. This is a very nice hotel and to be honest probably deserves a higher rating. So why did I only give it 3 stars.|Firstly, the positives.|The hotel is quite new. The staff a really friendly. There is free parking right outside. The hotel is in a quiet dead-end road.|However, the hotel calls itself and prices itself as a 4-star hotel. I'm not sure I'd agree.|The rooms are nice and new, however are really quite small. You access all the rooms via external stairs. Pouring rain, snow or cold and climbing two flights of external stairs - I'm not sure they'd be so much fun.|Breakfast isn't included in the price.|But mostly the price. The hotel is really quite expensive (compared to other hotels in area).|And I'm just not convinced the price of the hotel is justified. If the price was lower, I'd rate higher - for what you're getting or what you could get for...
