HAVN Aparthotel by Totalstay — Hotel in City Centre

After a disappointing experience at Habitat, my husband and I decided to give TotalStay another chance, hoping HAVN Apart Hotel would redeem the brand. Unfortunately, our stay was underwhelming. While the check-in process was seamless with great staff at the reception, the room amenities did not meet expectations. The kitchen was equipped with minimal and inadequate utensils; requesting a larger pot resulted in an awkward exchange where I was asked to return the smaller one that was in use, which was quite inconvenient.

Additionally, our request for a sheet change mid-stay was completely overlooked—no one attended to it throughout our stay. The comfort level of the bed was also disappointing, featuring an extremely hard base that contributed to a less restful night's sleep.

The advertised smoke-free environment was not as promised. The hallways and lift consistently smelled of smoke, and despite claims of a smoking ban, it was common to see guests smoking out of their windows. Clearly visible if you stand at the square looking up.

On the upside, the hotel's central location is convenient, making it easy to navigate the surrounding area. However, the reception area was consistently overcrowded and felt cramped.

It is quite hard to find. No access via the street. You have to turn into a paved area that is not a through way. Cars congest. No signage where to turn & of where to stop to check in. Underground parking is available at an extra cost. Location is good for inner city outings.

Check in was fine. Not overly friendly & no additional info provided like where to grab a coffee, eat or how to get assistance if required.

Rooms are nicely decorated & tidy. Although there was a pile of dirty towels in our room when we arrived. Not sound proof. Could hear people talking clearly in another room when in the bathroom. Some guests returned in the early hours of the morning talking loudly & slamming doors. Aircon worked. Iron available but no hairdryer. Had a very lovely stay with a large group of us and we All had such a pleasant stay; my room was a studio apartment on the 5th floor facing the beautiful view and the sun came into my room; great wifi, kettle with a fridge, lovely beds & an overall just perfect home away from home.
