I always ordered from this establishment, but after the service I received yesterday (24/09/2024)! Firstly they got the whole order wrong. We called and told them it's the wrong order. Kgosi/Khosi was the lady's name we were talking to on the phone. Only said sorry and that we should've called to cancel. She didn't even know which order we were talking about. No solutions were given, we had to asked okay so what's gonna happen next. She didn't ask no order number. NOTHING! Poor Customer service etiquette! She said they will try to get our order to us, AGAIN not asking for our delivery details. We waited for 35mins and called the store again asking when the CORRECT order will be delivered. The person on the phone asked if we didn't get our order. Why would we call you if we received it???! We confirmed the correct order once MORE and AGAIN they said they will send it. After waiting for a long time, they called to say the driver is outside. Only to get two items, and one item was still outstanding. Driver said they only gave him the two items. We wanted to return the wrong order (which was untouched) and he said he will go fetch the last item and then collect the wrong order from us. AGAIN we waited and decided to call the store again. The person that picked up the phone, after telling her we still waiting. She said that it was delivered, I told her no the last item was not delivered. She told me they are closing soon and I asked her ok so how are we gonna do this. She didn't answer and started talking to the people in the back in vernac. The individuals said that we are lying and the stuff was delivered. I am honestly disgusted by the lack of professionalism that was displayed. Please teach your staff customer service etiquette, secondly if you want to call a customer a liar please drop or put the phone on hold when doing so! Also, please teach them when someone enquire about their order they should ask the ref/customer number first. I really can't be teaching people basic manners, when all I wanted was just food!!! I I bought a bran muffin and capachino early morning, the lady that assisted said to me they have bran muffins its just not on display, she made the coffee and pressed the muffin in a take away bag and put it in the microwave, i asked her why you warming it she never answered me then I politely said if this is an old muffin i will be back tomorrow. The same day I tasted it and it was so old the raisons was like rock candy. I never ate it up and phoned the branch the manager on duty asked me did you finish the muffin I said no then she asked me to bring it the next day with the slip. The next day i was on my way to work and popped in showing the slip the assistant told me my manager says if you do not have the old muffin we cant help you, same manager that apologized as thr muffin was over heated and she told me next time tell them you do not want it warm, I said to her okay I will do that. Got to work and the muffin was thrown away by the cleaners.

Read moreThis coffee shop has long been one of my favourite places, and under normal circumstances, I would give it a glowing 5-star review. The staff are typically friendly, attentive, and create a welcoming atmosphere. However, my experience today left me deeply disappointed.
I visited the shop with two local friends and placed my order as usual. While waiting, I politely asked if I could have my receipt once it was no longer needed. To my shock, the staff member, Zola, responded curtly with, “Calm down! You will get it when we’re finished.” This was entirely unexpected, and I immediately apologized, as I had no intention of coming across as impatient. Unfortunately, my apology was ignored, and her demeanour remained cold and dismissive.
My friends later informed me that Zola had also been rude to them while taking their orders in their local language. This added to my disappointment, as such behaviour felt entirely at odds with the usually high standards of this establishment.
I understand that everyone has difficult days, but professionalism and kindness should remain a priority, especially in customer service. If Zola is indeed the manager, as other reviews suggest, I would urge the ownership to address this matter seriously.
