Hi there, Thank you for reaching out re: my reply. the email address you gave me is returning a "mail address not found error"
I and a party of 3 came to Hard Rock Cafe on the evening of 29 April after attending a comedy show at Theatre on the Square.
We were not seated by any of the waitresses on duty even though there are a few we passed on the way in who were just chatting amongst themselves. The Cafe was full as a result of regular customers as well as other comedy show attendees going there for dinner and drinks afterwards.
We waited quite a while before having to get the attention of one of the waiters: Frank.
The absolute lack of service we got from Frank was so bad it was almost comical. We made an order for beers and Frank then said he'd bring our drinks. A bit more than 30 minutes later we had to get his attention again for the drinks and he made it quite clear he had forgotten and doesn't remember seeing or speaking to us and taking our order.
Frank then went to pour the beers himself behind the bar and brought them to us, not with an apology but repeatedly asking whether we saw that he personally went behind the bar to pour the drinks.
We drank and then contemplated ordering food, with much hesitation. If it took that long for drinks, it would probably be closing time by the time he realises we ordered food. We decided to be simple and order fries. 30 - 40 minutes later there's no sign of Frank or the fries. We then spoke to another gentleman who, within a period of 12-15mins had gone to the kitchen and came back with 2/4 orders of fries, stating that the order had been put in and was actually ready to be brought out when he went to the kitchen. It was only when Frank saw the gentleman coming to our table with the fries that he sprang into action again.
We were definitely cognisant of how busy it was that night but it was quite clear other tables were being served accordingly within a decent time frame and waiters checking in to see that everything is still okay. We just seemed to draw the...
Read moreWent on Valentine's day for dinner with my partner and we were so let down by the service and the food wasn't great either. We walked in and the lady who gave us a table looked unhappy, it wasn't a warm welcome at all. We saw a gentleman and asked to move tables to one of the booths and heard another lady asking "who's gonna serve them if they sit there?" The gent then took over and started serving us. However it took about 40min from the time we got the menu to the time we were asked what we'd like to drink. He would be gone for very long before returning to our table. When we finally got the food, we were so hungry that we just dug in even though the food wasn't that great. My partners food was actually better. I had a salad which was a big let down... It was a steak salad, but the meat was so hard, I was never asked how I'd like it done so I guess the chef assumed "hard & was chewy" was the way. The salad was made from wilted inceberg lettuce and baby spinach only, no other form of salad leaves. That wouldn't have been too big of a problem had they been fresh and not wilted. The dressing was tasty but the salad was swimming in it. It's almost like a full cup of dressing was put in the salad and I only saw it as I was eating. I don't even wanna mention the onion rings #sigh. Normally I would have informed the waiter about the food but I was very hungry, I hadn't eating because I was saving my appetite for Valentine's dinner, and it had already taken almost 1h30min to get food. The staff may have been overwhelmed by the V-Day crowd but it's no excuse for bad service. There was no communication about delays and the food wasn't worth the wait... The nice thing was getting a red rose before leaving. But otherwise, it's 1 out of 5 from me...
Read moreThis place is over rated. I ordered bang bang shrimp, which was good until they got cold then turned hard while I waited on fries. I waited on fries because I'd ordered 1/2 nachos which was pictured on the menu with seemingly: scattered nachos with beans, Jalepenos, pico de gallo, sour cream, and "melted" white and Cheddar cheeses. However, what she brought to the table was a plate flattened nachos with hard oven melted cheeses on top, the kind where you lift the nachos to see what's underneath because it's all hard on top. When. I asked our server and showed her the ambiguous description and completely different menu picture from what she brought, she looked confused said yes they have nacho/queso cheese dip. I told her I thought that's what I was ordering according to the description and photo. She took the plate back and said okay as if she was going to get it, but sent out the huge manager who pointed at the picture and said "oh that's not cheese, it's sour cream!" What a joke, especially since our server specifically suggested bringing the pico and sour cream on the side! I just asked for fries. My husband's burger was fine though. This is why I said what I did at the start and I don't prefer these...
