Lala Panzi B&B — Hotel in George

I twice extended my stay at LaLaPanzi for a total of 8 days from 11th to 19th Oct. Tucked above the hills of a very quiet residential estate, it is a stone throw away the town's centre, restaurants, gas and convenience stores. There is also micro-brewery called Barrington's with a posh outdoor and indoor setting under 10 minutes walk if you choose not to drive. My room was very spacious, always spotlessly clean. Each room enjoys a panoramic view towards the bay. Breakfast was superb and it was something I always look forward to every morning :-) Most importantly, it is always the people who runs a guesthouse that matters. Henrietta / Rainer and especially the housekeeping and kitchen staff trio led by Cleopatra made me so very comfortable daily; from a hearty breakfast to a nicely clean up room each end when I return from my activities. They were all so very friendly and accommodating :-) Thank you everyone for making me feel so homely away from home ! I was frankly sad to leave. Will most definitely come back to LaLa Panzi in my next return...

Fabulous stay - 10/10. Owners Henrietta and Rainer were outstanding hosts and greatly enhanced our stay. Looked forward to our chats over a delicious breakfast with fab view. Staff are all wonderful - shout out to Natasha. Location is perfect with Barringtons craft brewery close by and 5 minute drive to the beach. Highly recommend walking around Robberg peninsula to see the seals. We stayed in the Elephant room which was spacious and large bathroom with excellent makeup mirror. The only downside is that you have limited privacy as other guests walk past your room to access pool and cars. Recommend the Rhino room and one next to it. Best views and privacy. Will definitely come back next time...

When we arrived at about 6 pm, we were told that we were interrupting the managers dinner. Hardly the sort of welcome. We expected after a long drive. ||On the plus side, the hotel is very well positioned and just three minute drive into the centre of town and very close to Robberg.||We asked Hotel to do some laundry which we were told would be back the next day. 48 hours later, it still hadn’t been returned. It’s delayed departure and onward journey. I was equally disappointed that the owner left the hotel for an appointment with the simple promise, the laundry should be here soon. Very disappointed that she could not wait to make sure the issue...
