I recently stayed here for over 10 days, and unfortunately, it was an experience that I will never forget for all the wrong reasons. From the moment we arrived, the lack of hospitality was evident. There was no warm welcome – just a cold and dismissive check-in. The receptionist, a white girl, handed us the keys with barely any acknowledgment and no explanation about the property or the room. We didn’t even receive a proper room tour. It was clear that the level of service here was subpar right from the start. The real disaster began when we entered the room. We were given Room 20, which was far from what we had paid for. This room had no window, no air conditioning, and a broken fan. It was uncomfortable, claustrophobic, and absolutely not what was advertised on their website. When we raised the issue with the manager, Pamela, she told us that the pictures on the website were misleading and should not be trusted. This left us in disbelief – how were we supposed to know that? We asked to be moved to a different room, but Pamela told us that there were no available rooms due to the hotel being fully booked. We then requested to see the room we originally booked to ensure it matched the pictures and description online. After more lies and confusion, Pamela finally admitted that the rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. This means that regardless of what you’ve booked, if someone else checks in before you, they will receive the room you reserved. This policy is both unfair and frustrating, especially when you’ve already paid for a specific room. After over two hours of arguing and pleading, we reluctantly accepted our fate and stayed in Room 20. We requested a working fan, but were given another broken one. We had to fix it ourselves. As a claustrophobic person, I couldn’t bear to stay in that room any longer. I asked to be moved again, but was told no. Eventually, after more pleading, I was informed of when the people staying in the room I originally booked would be checking out on Monday of next week ,I begged them to let me switch rooms, and finally, after more arguing, they agreed. I also feel compelled to address the unacceptable behavior of the receptionist (the white girl ) .Over the course of our stay, we observed her interacting with other guests in a friendly and polite manner, but she completely ignored us. I was deeply hurt by the way she treated us, and as a person of color, it was clear to me that her behavior was racially motivated. It was upsetting to see someone so young carry such a prejudiced attitude in a country surrounded by diversity. It's heartbreaking to see this level of discrimination, especially in a place where people should feel welcome and respected. I sincerely hope she reflects on her actions and changes her mindset. Concerning our departure , we asked for a late checkout as our flight was at 11.35 P.M. They ignored us for this request , we spent the whole day waiting for the time of our flight outside in the courtyard . You could have rest assured that we would have paid you for the late checkout out !!!
In conclusion, my experience here was nothing short of awful. From the lack of hospitality, to the misleading room assignments, to the discriminatory treatment I received, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. There are plenty of other places where you can expect better service and respect for your...
Read moreWe stayed for a month and our expectations were high based on the pictures and the room we booked. Unfortunately the reality didn’t quite match up and I wouldn’t recommend staying there. The place has potential but there are a lot of urgent improvements needed.
That said, one big positive: the staff was amazing. Everyone—from the reception to the cleaning team and the restaurant staff—was really kind and always tried to help.
Now onto the main issues:
• Wrong room upon arrival: We were initially placed in a room that didn’t match the one we booked—no desk (which we needed for remote work) and much smaller than expected. After bringing this up, the staff tried to help by adding a desk. But the lack of storage (no shelves in the bathroom, no proper space for two people) made it difficult. Eventually they moved us to a bigger room which was better in terms of space. • Noise levels: As mentioned in many other reviews, the rooms are extremely noisy (i am not exaggerating here when saying extremely)...We woke up basically every night at least once while using good earplugs as the hallway noise when people came home was a lot (thin walls and doors). • Unreliable internet: The Wi-Fi, both in the rooms and in the shared space, was inconsistent. We often had to switch to mobile hotspots and eventually decided to work from a nearby coffee place to have stable internet for calls. • Unstructured coworking space: The “coworking area” is not separate from the restaurant, meaning you’re surrounded by people eating, chatting or even making calls without headphones. It often felt chaotic and frustrating with kids playing around you and general noise making it difficult to focus. A proper separation between work and eating areas would make a huge difference. I would have gone to the room for calls but especially there the internet didn't work approximately once in three times. • Kitchen issues: The kitchen utensils were old and in poor condition—pans were not really usable. In the second week there were no forks or knives available later in the day. We were told they had been ordered but they wouldn’t arrive until the following week. • Basic necessities missing: There wasn’t even a sponge to wash dishes until we (and probably others) asked for one. In the end, we bought our own. • Renovations during peak season: In the third week, they started renovating the garden and entrance area, which—while a positive in the long run—meant constant and loud noise and dust, making working (and relaxing) difficult. Doing this during peak season, when the place is fully booked, seems like poor planning tbh.
Despite the great staff and some cool people we met during our stay, the overall experience wasn’t worth the price. The biggest downside was definitely the noise level which alone would make me avoid staying here again. Maybe their other locations are better but...
Read moreOn arrival rooms allocated in completely separate buildings away from each other. One did not have windows that provided natural as straight on to a wall. Had to complain significantly to get anything altered as the hotel 'fully booked'. ||The rooms advertised on booking.com are their 'best' and not the ones allocated. The descriptions are incorrect as rooms do not open on to a terrace. Ours were in a building at the front with no outside seating. The rooms are not soundproof at all and we were woken multiple times during the night with people returning. Then woken by work men early.morening replacing fencing straight outside.our room.||After complaining we managed to get 1 room next to our other one however this also had small windows that looked on to a wall. However, I could only have this for 4 nights and had to move again on final night.||The rooms often had doors that didn't open fully and the taps/sockets were loose. The internal terrace and pool area was not inviting and therefore we chose not to spend any time at the hotel.||The place itself needs improvement. The 'cafe' seemed to be intermittently open and unclear if only had vegan options.||Would not recommend this hotel at all. Had to ask for rooms to be cleaned/serviced. Windows then left open and lights on. No fan or AC available, rooms...
