Read moreDon't be a d00s like some of the other reviewers - if you are observant, you will notice that the service is sometimes under strain but that's because it is VERY popular and for good reason. Don't let these bs reviews be a deterrent to enjoying HeSheng! Leave your ego at the door, realise that this is a place you come to to relax, chat and consume copious amounts of good food. The food arrives fast though, so.... be ready to order when it's your turn! Order much of what you want all at once and then share among your fellow diners. If you don't know what to order - chose a few small plates and get to know the menu. The mains are enough to share between two comfortably.
Yes the service is sometimes abrupt but that's because the hostess is BUSY running a restaurant and doesn't have your delicate ego on her mind. You are there to .....relax, chat and eat good food.....! On the occasions that we've been around near closing time, she has chatted to us and has always been super friendly and genuinely kind. If you want to be treated like it's your birthday at Spur - then go to Spur.
We've been to Hesheng and ordered take out from them more times than I care to remember - always delicious, fresh and authentic. Thank you for providing your tasty fares...

We arrived and were seated immediately, got our menus and placed the orders. The food arrived quickly, but as we were at the big table our food was placed on the rotating center part of the table and because we shared the table it made it slightly uncomfortable to eat as you couldn't really move it otherwise you would disturb the other people at the table. Nevertheless the experience wasn't a bad one as all guest would apologies when we needed to move it and were pretty respectful.
Now that I have been back and see what it's like I will most definitely...
