황남두꺼비 — Restaurant in Gyeongju-si

I visited Hwangnam Ddokkeobi Sikdang in Hwangridan-gil, Gyeongju, during my trip. I arrived right at their 5 PM opening time, but there were already a few groups waiting. The restaurant had a retro vibe and was popular with families. I was craving something spicy, so I ordered the spicy pork rib stew for two, with extra flat glass noodles, mushrooms, and rice cakes. The pork ribs were tender and easy to eat, and the spice level was slightly hotter than Shin Ramyun. The complimentary buckwheat pancake and dongchimi (radish water kimchi) helped balance the heat. The food that wr have ordered was good, butt the staffs were not friendly and there were not even a korean staff ( something that I still don't understand. A korean restaurant without a korean staff, seriously??) The way of setting the table was not really polite. Last of all, when we were paying, the bill was over 130000 KRW while we have ordered only 65000 KRW. It seems that they have confused with other table. Walked in, as there were no sign saying closed, and the door was unlocked.

We were physically PUSHED backwards out the door by the staff. When we were outside, they yelled "break time" - slammed the door in our face and hanged the "break time" sign.

Everyone need brakes, but if you fail to lock the door, hang a sign - you should be more polite than assault potential...
