I would like to give some information about my recent stay at Benhur Hotel in Seoul, Korea. I made the booking online through asiarooms.com and thought I was staying at a Hotel, but it was actually a Motel. There was internet facility but it was very slow that it could hardly even be used. The bed in the room had no sheets on the matteress, it only had a matteress protector and a quilt. Under the bed was extremely dirty, there was coffee cups and hot water but no milk was supplied and no sugar was suplied, just coffee and cups. The staff didn't understand or speak english, there were no clothes washing facilities and being an Asthmatic the room and the Motel only supply smoking rooms, the room was cleaned only 3 times during my 7 night stay, if I had known any of these factors I would not have chosen this place to stay and the fact that it is being advertised as a Hotel and not a Motel is very misleading. I was extremely disappointed with the service and cleanliness, and would not recommend this place to anyone, also I will think twice about booking a room through asiarooms for my next International trip. It was very over priced for the location and quality. I would have preferred staying somewhere else even if it had costed me a little extra. The mattress was hard and not...
Read moreI booked this 'hotel' via laterooms.com for my friends and I during our 2 weeks holiday in Seoul. As we found out, photos can be very deceiving indeed. The place was nothing like it showed on the web, the room was small, very cramped and our room in particular had an 'attic'. How they expect anyone to sleep there is beyond me as it felt more like a sauna - 4 people ended up sleeping in a small double bed in the end. This was nothing what we expected at all, in fact, although the rooms looked clean as you first enter the room, our friends found condoms and hairs all over their beds, thank goodness, the children didnt see them at all. The staff spoke no english, and the only thing that seemed to be working was the plasma tv screen as the internet wasnt. We dubbed the place 'a lovel hotel' in the end! ||The place was near the train station and there was a lot of coffee shops, little restaurants nearby, but that's about it. We stayed for 2 nights - as we had no choice - and moved out asap. ||Would not recommend this place at all to anyone - definitely will not...
Read moreStayed at Benhur for one night - a Saturday. Chose it because we wanted to stay in a "love motel" whilst in Korea just for fun and it was close to other locations we wanted to visit during the weekend. Got the impression the staff didn't speak much English but were still very polite and helpful - we were given a bag of "goodies" on arrival and a business card so we would be able to get a cab back if needed. The room was nice enough - not huge but not tiny and nicely decorated with a "vintage Venice" theme. Noticed a few areas that could be touched up decor wise but nothing drastic. Same can be said about the bathroom - the bathtub was really nice but unfortunately the jacuzzi wasn't working which was disappointing and it could have been cleaner. The bed was comfy so slept well until I was woken up to the sound of someone throwing up in another room early in the morning... Probably wouldn't recommend for a long stay or if you're looking for luxury, but my experience was better than others who have written...
