It is a very nice guesthouse in the city centre, Myengdong. Just 5 minutes walk away from the night market, metro station and airport shuttle. It may be confusing to find it from Google maps. I suggest to walk on Google maps see the street pictures before you go. Then it is very easy to find. There is E-mart store a minute walk away. The hike is not so bad actually.|We stayed in first floor with 1 bunkbed. The room was designed very smart. Every cm is used for another facility. You can see what I mean if you check the pictures I added. It is only 10 sqm but it feels like 20-25 sqm. Very smart. Beds are very hard. It may not be very comfortable if you suffer back pain. But they help you with extra blankets, that helps. If you ask a matt for this they may charge you. So it may be a good idea if you take some matts with you to the guesthouse. |Other than that everything is so good. You feel like as you were staying in a hotel. He may not be around all the time but if you leave a message to reception he gets back to you for sure. You should leave the window open when you are away or when you are in the room to refresh the air in the room(however you feel safer). Then you do not get any bad smelling. There is a window lock to make sure nobody comes in from the window.|The A/C water goes to the bathroom with a hidden way, this is strange but as long as you do not leave your clothes on the bathroom floor there is no problem. Do not leave your clothes or belongings on the bathroom floor to avoid them getting wet. very wet.|Room has many plugs, bedlight, A/C works well, mosquito repellent(we did not suffer any single mosquito), a pier glass and hanger behind it, phone, torch, flatscreen tv, bath is super good, a room scent (not sure when they changed it because there is spiderweb on it:) , slippers in the room and different slippers in bathroom, a qıblah direction on the ceiling(be careful my compass shows a little dfferent angle), there is very much enough space for praying matt, a doormatt when you come out of the bathroom(I like it), a small fridge, hair dryer, water boiler, fire estinguisher. So many things in a small room with very good space remaining. |I stayed with my little daughter without any problem. The comment in Turkish belongs to her.|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|otel sahibi otelde gayet güzel ilgilendi ancak son gün bizimle...
Read moreI actually stayed in November 2014 so this is way overdue. ||||I stayed with a friend, taking the double bunk bed (room number 1, I think). While the room is clean and location very convenient, I want to comment on the staff more.||||Fully expecting to cart our own luggage up, I was surprised when the hotel staff helped bring them up for us (two girls). I had fallen quite sick during the stay so one morning, I needed to see a doctor, and I preferably wanted an English speaking one. The staff helped me search online, called the clinic to make sure the English speaking doctor is on duty now, inform them a foreign patient is going over, and then directed me there. Luckily it was near the Myeongdong subway exit, so I got there easily. When I wanted to order dinner in as my friend was away, the staff helped me look through so many food delivery travelogues because he was adamant I should not be eating fried chicken in my condition. ||||After I decided to cut my stay short and return home due to my illness, I needed the staff to help me call the airline and arrange for a rebooking of my flight which he helped me once again after perusing all my documents and helped speak in Korean to the call centre staff for me, successfully getting my fight changed.||||I am ever so grateful for the amazing hospitality of the staff at the...
Read moreMy daughter and I stayed at this place for 8 nights. Staff - the owner (Mr. Ji) and staff were very helpful and friendly. Mr Ji arranged for the taxi from the airport as we arrived late at night as well as our ski trip.||||Location wise - it's strategic despite the fact that you need to climb a bit (gradual slope from Myeongdong side). You can stop at the convenience store halfway if you like. Bus stop and subway station easily accessible. You have cafes, McDonald and the shopping area - all walking distance.||||The room - yes, a bit tight but it had everything we need (fridge, aircond, kettle, hairdryer..and even kiblat sign!) in the room. It was very cold when we were there (-15C) and yet the room is warm enough and the heated floor is awesome. Not draughty. Both room and bathroom were very clean. Shower pressure was great, no issue with hot water. Taller people might find the shower a bit cramp but it was a good size for smaller-sized humans.||||You can do your laundry and have your meals at their well equipped kitchen on the ground floor. They do offer local breakfast if you prefer.||||Overall, I think it was definitely a good place to have as a base while you are in Seoul. It's especially great when you have them welcoming you back after a long day...
