Clean and Safe Stay with Great Amenities – Recommended for Light Travelers
The hotel is very clean and provides free towels, a hairdryer, body wash (which I used—it’s pretty good and didn’t cause any allergies), shampoo, and a luggage locker that can fit a 26-inch suitcase (mine fit perfectly). The front desk staff is very friendly and speaks English, making communication easy for international travelers. If you arrive after 10 PM, you’ll need to do a self-check-in and pick up a paper from the front desk yourself. This was different from what was shown in their YouTube video—I initially thought it would be in an envelope near the door and spent a long time searching, even checking the building across the street. I hope they update the YouTube video with accurate self-check-in instructions.
The bed is very clean, and they provide free slippers, but they aren’t silent slippers—walking in them at night makes noise. I recommend bringing a good pair of earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the nearest subway station. However, the route to the hotel is uphill, which might be challenging for those carrying heavy luggage. There is an escalator at Exit 3 of the station.
A free breakfast is available in the morning with a decent variety. There are no eggs, but they offer free drinks, milk, cereal (crispy ones that go well with milk), coffee, bread (with a self-service toaster), and jam. After 10 PM, there is no staff at the front desk, but the environment is very peaceful. Most guests are female, though there are some male guests as well. Certain areas, such as the accommodation, are female-only.
I stayed for four nights and felt very safe and comfortable. Even late at night, there were still guests awake, which gave me a strong sense of security. Overall, this hotel is great and definitely above average. I would recommend it, but it may not be the best option for those carrying...
Read moreThe check-in process went smoothly, and the staff was not only helpful but also proficient in English. The location is excellent, especially for Muslim individuals, as there are halal restaurants within walking distance, such as Kampungku and Bakso, Korea BBQ. However, the only downside is the strong sewerage smell, even though the private toilet is separate from the bedroom. I stayed in a family room on the 4th floor. Unfortunately, the staff during check-out were extremely unpleasant and impolite. The check-out time is 11am, but you have the option to pay an extra KRW10,000 for a one-hour late check-out until 12 noon at the latest. I have decided to pay for the late check-out, but the staff informed me that we cannot use the luggage elevator as it only operates until 11am. However, the notice clearly states that the elevator operates from 8am to 10pm. After presenting the facts and arguing my point, the staff finally allowed us to use the elevator … i dont really understand why at the first place he keep saying its their rule that the lift can be used until 11am only and he added only 2 of them is working . It is important to note that this building does not have an elevator for people, only for luggage. Therefore, we have to climb the staircase to reach our room. The family room or quadruple room is located on level 4. Please educate your staff to learn more english to cater international guests...
Read moreFantastic location, as it’s walking distance to the main centre for shopping and general nightlife! It’s very close to the train station too with an underground market which is a huge bonus. It’s very easy to find as they provide very detailed instructions.
The downsides to staying here is: You can’t use the lift as there is no lift, it’s only used to bring your suitcase up to the floor you’re staying on. The only towels you get provided is a hand towel to use for your body and hair. If you want a body towel, you’ll need to put down a deposit of 10,000 won. The room we stayed in got very musty (stuffy) every time the A/C is off as you can’t open the windows to get fresh air. It would always smell whenever we come back at the end of the day. I believe we had bed bugs as I woke up on the last day with four bite marks around my legs close to the ankle. Don’t believe it would’ve been a mosquito as no windows were open for the duration of our stay, and my mum said she felt itchy in bed for the first two days.
Would I stay here again? It’s debatable as the location is good, it’s safe, great value for money, and there’s a rooftop to enjoy the views. On the hand, stuffy rooms, small towels, and...
