I came here due to the good reviews and it did not disappoint. Its a busy establishment especially during peak times. I came here late afternoon for a small bite before dinner time. Upon arrival at the reception you are required to order & pay via the self service machine. I ordered the seafood pancake and it was one of the best I have eaten filled with generous topping, light and crunchy. The kimchi was unique to me as it consisted mostly of radish instead of cabbage and it didnt have that spicy garlic punch. They also provided a complimentary cold sweet yellow bean soup. Nisrine the waitress was extremely helpful in navigating the language barrier whilst ordering via the online menu & also accepting payment in cash. Worth a visit if you are planning a visit to N Seoul Tower or wanting to skip the touristy Myeongdong crowd. Will definite come again.

After a very early morning start to the DMZ, we took a walk from Myeong-dong towards Namsan area for lunch at Mokmyeoksanbang. Traveller's Tips: 1. Go a little bit early. The restaurant is near a university so assume it can get busy during peak hours. 2. You order at the digital screens at the entrance so don't just walk straight in and sit down 🙂 Since we needed some comfort food after freezing ourselves in the DMZ, we tried the cheesy kimchi pancake (which was the cheesiest pancake I've ever had with a crispy outside - just perfect) and the bulgogi bibimbap (ranks amongst the top ones I've tried, very fresh ingredients balanced with the bean sprout soup). Simple food but done very well, we were extremely satisfied afterwards. Definitely recommended 👍 if you're in the Namsan area!

I feel I should caution people about this place . As another reviewer has commented, there really is nothing special about the bibimbap here. Apologies for no food pics as I forgot at the time. I ordered the beef bulgogi one and there wasn’t much meat at all. I was glad I ordered the extra soft boiled egg. The chilli paste doesn’t really have any kick or much taste. I dare say I can get better bibimbap in my home country. The food and setup feels like you’re in a canteen…pre prepared ingredients all lined up and ready to go within minutes of ordering. This was not worth the hour journey it took to get here. I’d say only drop by if you’re in the neighbourhood and adjust expectations accordingly. Not sure why this has got a Michelin mention.

The bibimbap was alright and not sure why this place was mentioned in the Michelin guide. The bibimbap came with mung bean soup, which was a bit cold. The vegetables that go into the bibimbap is provided separately so you can mix in what you want, which is good but it wasn't anything to write home about. Their gochujang paste that goes into the bibimbap was actually quite tasty, but that's really about it. There's nothing that stands out about their dish other than that. Their cheese pancake was actually quite delicious but reminded me of a cheese pizza and you might as well have a cheese pizza at that point.

Although it was a self-service restaurant, the food was impressive. They were simple but full of natural flavors. The majority of food did not have any overpowering taste or flavors, but captured the hint of flavors from each vegetable used in its each dish. Felt healthy as i enjoyed the each dish. Price was reasonable and the establishment was presentable. It is listed as one of the Michelin rated restaurants in Seoul... not sure what is the standard for Michelin rated restaurants in Seoul as it was definitely not a Michelin rated restaurants like in Paris or in the U.S.

The worst Korean Bibimbap place I have tried that was in Michelin Guide. Presentation was good, but things end there. Period. Bibimbap tasted very plain and the texture of Mook dish was terrible. Steamed pork dish was so plain that I started to wonder why this restaurant was even featured in Michelin Guide. The waiting line was long with quite a few foreign visitors in line and I felt really sorry that they are wasting time in this restaurant when there are many other excellent Korean restaurants in Seoul. I highly discouraged people to visit this place.
