Posting this while still awaiting response from hotel manager Mr Bae Wonjun. I encountered a significant health and safety breach during my recent stay at this hotel. I had originally intend to stay for 5 nights.
We stayed at rooms 1702/1703. At approximately 3:30 AM on Mar 23, we were awakened by a hissing sound from the room air conditioning unit, only to discover that it was leaking gas into the room. The air in the room was saturated with the chemical smell of the gas, and upon opening the door, it began spreading into the entire 17th floor corridor. We had entered the room at 11:45 PM, which raises serious concern that we had been unknowingly exposed to a dangerous gas leak for potentially over three hours.
This incident was particularly alarming as I am six months pregnant with a history of asthma. Exposure to chemical fumes of unknown origin presents a serious risk to unborn babies, and we are gravely concerned about the potential impact on myself and my unborn child’s health.
The gas leak caused immediate physical symptoms, including choking sensations, throat pain, dizziness and headaches for everyone in the room. We immediately called the front desk, yet the hotel staff took more than 15 minutes to respond, and it was nearly 30 minutes before the issue was resolved—all while we remained exposed to the fumes.
What is deeply troubling is the complete lack of follow-up or meaningful service recovery from the hotel. Other than offering a room change, no one checked on our well-being, and no one from the hotel reached out the next morning. When we spoke to the front desk staff Mr Yeong Jin, we were informed he was simply instructed to accede to our request to leave the hotel early with a refund. This response is unacceptable and alarmingly flippant given the severity of the safety breach that occurred under this 4-star establishment.
This incident is deeply distressing for my family. None of us were able to sleep the rest of the night. We experienced unknown sounds from the air conditioner and the ceiling vent in the new room we were placed in at #2011, which woke us up every 10mins till morning. My sisters in the new room #604 experienced the room’s aircon turning off by itself. This has created fear, psychological stress, and health uncertainty not only on myself but also on our entire group.
The past reviews for this hotel are good, but the hotel’s facility maintainance and concern for guest safety is lacking. I hope this does not happen to any other guests and to be aware of my negative experience if you are considering...
Read moreArrived ard 1pm for checkin and staff told me that he cannot allow checkin as the name registered with agoda is different from the name in my passport. Agoda booking was with my christian name and it was not indicated in my passport. This is the first time that a hotel has rejected me to checkin even though I presented the paid agoda booking and surname in passport is the same. Staff reluctantly let me checkin after i presented my credit card where it reflects my christian name, surname and initials.||Thereafter, was told that there was only an available corner room. Rejected and requested for a non-corner unit.||Back to hotel around 10pm and was assigned to another corner unit! The other staff insisted it was not a corner unit and argued with me. After a while, he realised that the floor plan for second floor different and the room was indeed a corner unit.||Thought this was the end of the saga and to my horror, the aircon in the room that I finally checked in was spoilt and i had to change to a new room. Was told that i was not the only affected guest as few rooms on the floor i stayed faced the same issue. ||Staff cannot follow simple instructions not to allocate corner room, rude and argued back and the hotel facility is so unreliable where many rooms faced the same issue where air con was down. Not sure if it was due to poor servicing and maintenance. Book at...
Read moreI called the hotel operator and asked for a bedsheet. Since I didn't put in the earth card today to indicate that I wanted to change it today, the room attendant only changed the duvet cover but not the sheets. After seeing this I wanted to call and ask for a sheet to change myself. But the operator was impatient with our response and said he had nothing to offer. They told us to change it tomorrow. But the stained sheets are really intolerable. I also understand that the operator may have difficulties, but he doesn't take the guests' requests seriously and has to be insulted even after paying the fee. I feel very disrespected. As a hotel highly recommended by the platform, G3 must also focus on the quality of its employees. The next day after cleaning the room, the housekeeper left dirty cloths in the room and no supplies. The toilet was still dirty and left. I called the hotel operator again and asked the housekeeper to come in for cleaning, but when I saw a The person like the supervisor was perfunctory and very dissatisfied with the stay. Regarding the key points mentioned above, I communicated with the hotel via email during my stay. But there has been no follow-up and processing. It is not worth it and recommends staying...
