Kang's Duplex @ Seoul Station — Hotel in Seoul

Stayed at Kangs for 8 days in Seoul. Simple apartment that has all the basic amenities. Comfortable and adequate for a cheap stay in the centre of Seoul.|No real services, no changing of sheets, no cleaning during your stay. Just a private room with washing machine, microwave, cooker, vacuum, hair dryer, large fridge. |The apartment provides shower gel and shampoo, everything else you need to provide yourself. Not such an issue given the proximity to Lotte outlets and plenty of 24 hr convenience stores.|The interaction with the host was via WhatsApp. Kangs was always responsive.|The rooms are secured by a passcode which means not need for key exchange.|Pros. Close location to AREX, Lotte Markets and within walking distance of Namdaemun, Myeongdong shopping and Markets. Also next to the Seoul Metro station.|Cons. The lack of room service (although Kangs can help order delivery food for you if requested).|Apartments are generally clean but not to the level of a proper hotel. |We had a family of 5 in a family room at a cost of US$110 per night. Cleanliness could really be improved, especially in the toilet which had a lot of grease/dirt around the fixtures and in between the creaks. Other parts of the apartment could do with some cleaning too, with stains/dust around. The hangers, bedroom slippers, and bathroom slippers all looked pretty overused, along with the old umbrellas provided in the cupboards.

Upside is its close proximity to the subway, as well as a huge grocery shop (lotte). Owner was also...

+Bardzo dobra lokalizacja, blisko metro, supermarket, rynek z jedzeniem, pamiątkami i innymi klamotkami 😉 +miły i pomocny Pan z "recepcji"- pokój na 100 % nie miał 53 m2, jak w ofercie, max 30m2, byłam z mężem i 2 dzieci w wieku 14 lat i spanie na antresoli bylo meczarnią dla córek, bo było strasznie ciepło i duszno ( bylismy na poczatku maja), a pomieszczenie nie bylo pełnowymiarowe, trzeba wchodzić na kucaka lub kolanach..... - klimatyzacja działała ale po jej wlaczeniu, zeby na górze bylo chlodniej, na dole nie szło spać bo dmuchała prosto w twarz, poza tym była strasznie brudna i wylatywały z niej paprochy- ogólnie pokój i meble to raczej do remontu i wymiany, pelno kurzy , jakby od dawna nie sprzątane porządnie, zdjęcia w internacie nie oddają rzeczywistości i nie dziwie się, że trudno znaleźć zdjęcia łazienki- łazienka bardzo mała, brak miejsca na powieszenie ręczników, obleśny niezbyt czysty dywanik pod nogi.....- najwiekszy minus za formę płatności, rezerwowaliśmy pobyt przez booking, była opcja platnosci kartą, na miejscu okazało się, że zarządano od nas gotówki, co było dla nas sporym utrudnieniem ( ok 1500$) nie byliśmy na to przygotowani + polecam na krótki pobyt weekendowy, lub dla młodych ludzi, my byliśmy 11 dni i to za długo na takie warunki dla 4 osób, już bym...
