HAVI PARKHAVI PARK

서울역, 시청역, 회현역 어디서든 접근성이 좋은 곳에 있다. 덕수궁이나 남대문광장에서 가까워서 잠깐 와서 한 번 둘러보고 가기 좋다. 고층 빌딩들 사이에 있어서 주변 교통이 조금 혼잡할 수는 있지민 해외여행을 다니다보니 이렇게 신구조화를 이루는 게 좋은 것 같다. 멋지고 크게 지은 숭례문, 훼손된 게 안타깝지만 이제라도 잘 관리되고 있는 것 같아서 다행이다.

화재로 소실 후 재건한 현재 모습이 오히려 도시경관과 조화롭게 뒤섞이지 못하고 있다. 길게 늘어뜨린 돌담도 볼품없고, 역사적 상징물로써의 존재감도 없는 테마파크가 된 듯한 아쉬움. 외국인이나 우리나라 사람이나 부모가 아이들을 데리고 와 굳이 말해줄 사연이나 설명 역사가 크게 중요한 것이 없는 사적지. 남대문이냐 숭례문이냐가 뭐 그리 중요하리....
