I stayed here in October 2023 with my mom, having come to Korea to enjoy the autumn foliage. I had also come here back in June 2023 with my husband and kids, so I'll be writing about both experiences. But the short of it is, I have NEVER experienced hospitality above and beyond like I experienced this last trip. I will be raving about this place for a long, long time.||In June, my family of four found this location extremely convenient. It is very close to a metro stop, and an easy walking distance to both Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung, both easily some of the most impressive historical sites I've ever seen. There is a famous Buddhist temple right across the street, and the traditional village of Bukchon is just a 10-minute walk away. It's bustling but not packed to the gills, and feels incredibly safe, almost any time of day.||Insadong, the neighborhood the hotel is in, is full of tiny, cute shops and specialty restaurants, as well as multiple convenience stores. There is a famous mall right across the way, with small handcrafted items and displays from local young artists.||Nine Tree, the hotel itself, was extremely clean, the beds were very comfortable compared to many other hotel beds I slept in Korea, and I loved that there was a coin laundry room in the building. The front desk folks are really wonderful.||All of these factors led me to book this hotel again on my trip with my elderly mother for the fall.||The first thing that happened after I checked in was that my mother realized she could not find her phone, which was one of those phones with an attached wallet. I still had her passport, but all of her important, non-passport things were in her wallet.||I went down to speak to the front desk person (Frank/Kim Tae Seong), an actual angel as far as I could tell, who proceeded to help us beyond what any reasonable person would. We suspected she had dropped her phone in the taxi we came in. He pulled up the camera footage of the parking lot to see if he could find the taxi's license plate, so that he could call the company.||Upon finding that he could not, he spent additional time to check the footage and called up the taxi company of the car that was parked in front of us, and asked them to have the driver contact us. When that driver contacted us, he then asked if they could supply the video from the cameras that all the taxis in Korea run, in case it caught the video of my taxi's license plate. He arranged for them to bring the video (which the driver did not know how to replay) so that he could replay it himself. He found that only 3 digits from the license plate was showing, but the company was identifiable, so he tracked them down and asked about the driver of our taxi. It turned out that he had already finished his shift, and was heading home, and the company was having trouble getting a response from the driver.||At this point, he had already spent about 2 hours trying to help us. This kind front desk person pulled out his personal phone and made an international call to my mom's number since we had come from the US. I hadn't called it because she didn't have international roaming, and in my panic, I didn't think to call her phone. Eventually, the taxi driver picked up her phone, and he spoke to the person and arranged for me to meet him. Since the cabbie was done with his shift, he (cabbie) was ready to go to sleep and didn't want to come back out to drop of the phone, which was totally understandable.||The front desk angel Frank then told me that he was about go finish his shift (at 7am) and that he would take me over to the cabbie because he was worried about having me meet a cabbie somewhere, and was also worried about the cabbie asking for an unreasonable reward. I tried to refuse but he very kindly insisted. It turned out to be an hour there and an hour back in morning rush hour traffic, that he kindly volunteered after his shift, out of concern for his hotel's guests. He in particular emphasized that he would never want his mother to be in the situation that my mother was in, especially in a foreign country, and refused all gifts & rewards out of ethics around his hospitality profession.||Without Frank, our vacation would have started with such a huge bump, but he put in 4 hours of his time & effort to make sure that we, his guests, would not suffer. I never previously imagined such kindness, and it was clear that he took immense pride in his hotel and his work. I cannot imagine how our experience would have been if we had stayed in another hotel or an AirBnB.||The other hotel staff, from the front desk to the cleaning staff, were kind and welcoming. I could not imagine a better place to stay. They have my...

I can't write up all the details of what he did over the next two hours, but he ended up calling like 6 different people at 3 different companies to figure out where my mom's phone was, all the while being a reassuring presence. Read moreJune 2022 We stayed here during June 2022, as a family of 3. This hotel is the best place to stay during your visit in Seoul. Best location close to all attraction area , under ground stations, shops and restaurants, located in very tourist attractions area. The hotels stuff are the most welcoming, polite, and welcoming people I ever meat, the rooms are quite spaceship and clean, with all of the things that you need and more, everyday room service and many other services that are available in the hotels facility. The stuffs are to helpful and friendly the hotel have best view at least our room on the 14th floor faced towards the Jogyesa 조계사 temple. The hotel have 2 entries, one is located in the same street as the temple (Ujeongguk-ro, Jongno-gu) and the other one through a shopping mall in (Insadong -gil street). We really recommend this Hotel, and we will defiantly stay here again next time we visit Seoul. Than you Nine Tree premier (Insadong)
UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS COMMENT ABOVE
June2024 second time This hotel have great location, nice hotel and very friendly and helpful staff, but unfortunately this hotel quality and services has been decreased, we stayed in this hotel last time we visit Seoul about 2 years ago I could clearly see that the quality of services, the necessary amination and what need to be included in a room has decreased, as well as the cleaning, we had to ask for our room to be cleaned again after check in, it is clear some stuff might not look so fresh due to the facility has been weared out which it is understandable, but dust everywhere it a no, it made me sad to see how the perfect and lovely hotel which a great services has been downgraded, and I truly hope they can work towards how it was 2 ye ears ago, because the hotel is in great location and quite new building and really kind and friendly staff.
We will definitely come back and stay in this hotel if they can return to the way it was 2022, in terms of quality, service and 4 star...
