I see a bloke named Darren has just left a 3/5 review and I'd say he is near enough bang on the money here! We stayed late July and I've waited over a month before leaving this review. I believe it deserves a 4/5 just about, but I don't have another dreamplace to compare it to. Plenty of food options, I'm pretty fussy and didn't go hungry. We went with another family and my mate is a head chef by trade and he agreed, edible but certainly nothing to write home about. Couple days the food was probably sub-standard and a couple was better than I expected, so overall average. Enough choice, but definitely got a little repetitive. Rooms were clean and previous reviews are bang on about the cleaning staff not stopping & rooms are cleaned daily. Don't need much more when you're all inclusive, but agree about the dodgy air con. Came on and off as it pleased and last 3 days we left it off completely because we all started to feel a little funny. Very outdated system that circulates the air of all rooms on the block. Can confirm the issue with sun loungers too. We had the room whereby the balcony overlooked the stage & pool and the moment staff put the loungers out there were people running down to put towels on them well before the pool was opened. Luckily with 2 young children we all used the splash pool so didn't have to worry, but I can see why that'd be an issue for families visiting. I don't see how they can increase the number of loungers, but I'd say they need to clamp down on people taking the biscuit. We did use the main pool in evenings once it calmed down and no complaints with that, other than for a family hotel I'd have expected more pool activities. In the week I was there the inflatables came out once for maybe 30-60mins...big let down! Arguably my biggest gripe was with the lack of activities for kids considering it's a family fun hotel!? Our kids did enjoy the splash pool (although small) and the park next to it. Arcades room could do with an increase...very small with not much in there and the drinks bar there needs a serious clean! Used to work in a bar and all you can smell is the old sugary drinks from spillages etc. By the end of the week I was put off going back to it, however this is the only part of the hotel I had an issue with cleanliness. Must say, staff were superb, hotel overall is very clean and food is more than okay on the whole. Very much doubt I'd return, but on a budget I felt it was extremely good value for money, particularly as I'm fussy with cleanliness and food...it met my expectations on the whole. Add a few more things for kids and switch up the kids evening entertainment a little (same every single night) and you'd have a very good hotel! We did enjoy our stay though and thank you for your kindness and hospitality. All the best

Really great stay at Tagoro. 2 adults and 2 kids aged 6 and 7. We went at the end of May 2022 (over half term) and had a lovely stay. ACCOMODATION: Really nice accomodation. We stayed in a Merlin room which was large and had a separate adult bedroom and the kids room was the lounge and had a PS4 and TV. Microwave and fridge in room along with a safe. There was a terrace which had its own hot tub too. The room was cleaned daily and stocked with shower gels etc. FACILITIES: Main pool was great and had daily games. The kids pool was good although a little young for ours (7 and 6 years) and they preferred the main pool. Smaller pool which was really deep also. All clean and well kept. Only one restuarant which was great and clean. There was manned bar at the main pool and a self service bar for soft and hot drinks.at the kids pool. There is a gym (I'm told!) And a great and well priced beauty and massage parlour. Reception 24/7. Evening bar shuts at 11pm. I'm calling out sunbeds specifically as it can be difficult to get one if you aren't at the main pool early - most beds apart from the ones set right back were taken by 8.45am most days. Many people 'reserve' sunbeds despite the staff leaving notes saying not to. We did see the staff rightfully removing towels from reserved beds which was good to see. FOOD: amazing food and great choice. There is buffet style food which changes each day and is constantly replenished. Also stations for freshly cooked food - omelette and eggs at breakfast, meats and fish at dinner, paella, pasta and also a different them each night like Chinese, Indian, Spanish etc. Great choice of fresh salad and desserts and ice cream. Kids loved the variety and choice, so we did. ENTERTAINMENT: daytime was good with games in the main pool and kids pool. Kids club was great, ours asked to go there most days as they loved the games and crafts - entertainment team were really friendly and fun! Evening entertainment was also decent with some good acts. Only gribe was the kids entertainment slot was a bit late starting, mini disco was 8.15-8.45pm but was a bit young for our kids (their words!) and game shows didn't start until 9. But we all enjoyed it. SERVICE: all staff were really attentive, friendly and helpful at all times. Always happy to help and answer questions and quick to clear tables. LOCATION: location was the only thing to not score high marks. It is a good 20min walk to the beach area - down hill going but coming back we got a cab (only 5 euros) but recommend getting the taxi app as can be hard to find a taxi at times.

Lets start with the good stuff: 1.A variety of food and many of the meals really tasty. 2.Rooms really spacious. 3.There are a lot of free parking lots nearby. Bad aspects: 1. Cleaning in our room wasn’t the best. The floor from the bathroom has never been cleaned and the towels never changed. We stayed for 5 nights. I wasn’t expecting to change it daily, but at least twice in a 5 nights stay. 2. You really need to invest is some better windows. The noise is so frustrating. You can’t sleep before 00:00 because you can hear every person that speaks in the nearby. We couldn’t have a nap all our vacation and we had to stay up late because we could even hear the music from the bar. I like to sleep well in vacation. The noise was a really big issue for me. 3. There are no king beds. All beds are 2 twin beds placed next to each other. 4. This is the most important aspect and I really hope that someone will do something about it: some friends of ours wanted to make us a surprise and came to Tagoro to meet us without telling us in advance. When they asked the receptionist if we stay at that hotel, the receptionist confirmed, even told them at what room we stay and left them to come on our terrace to wait for us when we weren’t at the hotel. Honestly, this could’ve had some very bad consequences. What if they weren’t our friends and just some random people that wanted something from us? This is illegal. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED BY LAW to share personal information about your guests. I didn’t want to ruin anyone’s day and that is why we didn’t say anything about it at that time, but this is really very very bad. I will not come back to this hotel where my personal information are randomly shared.

The hotel itself is in a quieter area, just a 15 min walk from the beach and shops. Out front they have a Dino shop/restaurant/bar/laundrette (which came in handy with our Nutella mad kiddies!) and behind the hotel is a massive supermarket. ||The hotel itself is very tidy, well maintained and welcoming. On arrival we were checked in and explained what was on offer (entertainment/food times/pool towels etc) the staff at reception were extremely welcoming and helpful not only at check in but throughout our stay. They ordered us several taxi’s, helped us with any questions we had and also checked in with me after I had asked about a local doctor as my daughter had an earache one evening. (Luckily wasn’t needed but still very nice that they had not only remembered who we were but also they cared about us as guests) ||We stayed in room 220, great view of the entertainment from outside the front of our room but our balcony overlooked the supermarket. ( We were unfazed by this as not only did we only use the room for showering/sleeping but it had more privacy) The room itself was clean, and very big. One of the biggest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Thank you to the wonderful housekeeping team for our immaculately clean room everyday! ||The pool areas were large with plenty of room for everyone and lots of sunbeds available, which weren’t on top of each other. Our costumes did not change colour with the chlorine. Often times you would see the lifeguards taking water samples and checking the levels. There was a lifeguard monitoring both pool areas at all times, and they were very on the ball. ||The Entertainment was enjoyable with something for everyone. It catered to everyone but with a magical touch for the children. The whole team were fantastic and went above and beyond! The Disney show was a great hit for us, pool games and kids club! ||The food, honestly I don’t want to run it down because at times it was really good! The Mexican theme night for me was a favourite! Think cheese fountain, salsa, fresh guacamole! Yum take me back please !! Several themed nights with fresh candy floss/ sweet galore and chocolate fountains. Pancake and waffle eat your heart out! Seafood/prawns/paella yum ! |BUT….. The snack bar ☹️ That really was a sad state of affairs. The food coming from there was pretty terrible and the hot dogs/Burgers/chips sitting in their hot plate with flies galore and no cover? Yuck! I watched the girl dealing with the food cooking fresh and just tipping it ontop of food that had been sat there for quite sometime, with no attempt to rotate it. (It remained that way everyday for the week we were there) so there you have it, my biggest moan is the snack bar, it is letting down the food side of things for me and I feel it wouldn’t take much to improve it. ||The bar was good-drinks were as expected and cocktails were yum! Liked the help yourself to non alcoholic drinks! TIP- anyone going with young children take your squash with you as it’s not available at the hotel ( I think that’s normal-it took me a while to find some Robinsons here) ||I just wanted to also say that as a parent of very young children, as a family run hotel it would be amazing if you would consider adding an additional child lock on internal doors within the rooms, such as a bolt or chain up high so little people are secure during the night- I was worried the whole holiday about my children’s ability to just open the door and walk straight out be it daytime or night time. ||Lastly, thank you for a fantastic holiday! Your team really are a credit and you have such a beautiful hotel! We hope to return sometime in...

Stayed for 10 days at the start of June. Family of 4, 5 year old & 3 month old baby. |Pro’s: Reception staff were lovely. Very helpful & informative. Rooms were always cleaned to a good standard. On one day my daughter dropped a glass & it had smashed so I went to reception to ask for a dustpan to clean it myself. They sent a lovely cleaner down to do it for us. Pool was a perfect temperature & the entertainment during the day was great with good music playing also. Rooms were spacious & outside area’s were well maintained. Elena from the kids club is amazing she was so welcoming and always had a friendly smile. We asked in advance for our rooms to be next door to eachother (travelling with a friend & her family) and they were able to do this. Drinks were alright, not amazing but pretty standard. Pool bar snacks were burgers, hotdogs, chips, toasties & then they swapped between chicken nuggets, chicken wings & potato croquettes every other day. Would be nice if chicken nuggets or wings could be on every day as they were nice & handy for children and in 10 days we only seen them twice. The burgers were great though! The shower rooms for the day you check out are very helpful, we were able to book in advance a certain time before our transfer was arriving to get a shower and freshen up before travelling. The photographers around the pool were a good touch too & took some lovely pictures. Plenty of sunbeds so even if we went out for the morning & came back early afternoon we were still able to find some.||Con’s: if you’re a picky eater you’re going to find it hard to find something nice to eat. My partner & daughter barely liked anything at each meal time so it was hard to enjoy it. I always found something to eat but the one night we went out for food somewhere else it was to a much higher standard. But it’s what I expect at an all inclusive hotel to be honest. Daughter are plain pasta or spaghetti most days. Night time entertainment was alright, not the best. The kids splash pool was great but it was far away from the main pool and there were only self serve soft drinks available beside it, no pool bar or snacks. No kitchen sink or utilities in the apartment which made travelling with a baby a bit more difficult. We used a collapsible bucket instead (or bathroom sink is an option too). We asked for a microwave to be in the room in order to sterilise bottles but it wasn’t there when we arrived. But it was fine we got by with Milton tablets & the bucket. While the staff in the kids club were great, the actual room wasn’t the best. It was dark, not the most up to date & my 5 year old was bored after 10 minutes. Could do with more things to do, toys etc & a lick of paint. They don’t allow larger inflatables in the pool for kids so my daughter (who can’t swim) was told by the lifeguard that she couldn’t get into the pool with her (small enough) flamingo rubber ring, yet the rest of the week there were 2 other kids with the same inflatable & nothing was said to them.||To summarise; it was a great holiday, rooms were clean, staff friendly, kids were entertained. Only important downside was the food. Don’t know if I’d stay here again in the future but it was still great nonetheless and if you have booked to stay here, don’t panic at the bad reviews, it’s a fairly good...

We stayed at this hotel on an all-inclusive basis, but unfortunately, our experience—particularly at the end—left us very disappointed.||Our airport transfer was scheduled for 7:20 a.m., and when we asked reception the night before about a packed breakfast (as every other hotel we’ve stayed at has provided for early departures), we were told none would be available. We have a 3-year-old and an 11-month-old baby, and when we explained our situation, reception assured us the restaurant would open at 7 a.m. so we could quickly grab a few things to take with us.||However, when my partner went down with the children to collect a couple of croissants or some bread, just something simple to feed the kids before a long journey, he was abruptly told no food could be taken out of the restaurant. Despite explaining we had very young children to feed, the staff showed no empathy and repeated that nothing could be taken with us. This hotel markets itself as “family fun,” yet they couldn’t allow us even a small amount of food for our toddlers—on a day we had paid for in full, including food. We were honestly stunned.||I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews, but this incident ruined our entire morning and left us with two hungry, upset children on a long transfer and flight. Along with being very hungry and uncomfortable ourselves. My partner was actually made to put down the food he had picked up. The worst part is we specifically checked ahead of time, and planned accordingly based on what we were told. There simply wasn’t time to sit and eat properly, so we were just trying to take a couple of bites for the children in napkins—nothing unreasonable.||This treatment felt like once your holiday ends, the hotel no longer cares about you or your family. We will be submitting a formal complaint.||A few other points:| • There’s no dustpan or brush in the room, yet they refused to clean our room one day because the floor had a few crisps on it. With two small kids, accidents happen—but if you won’t provide cleaning tools or services, what are guests supposed to do?| • The all-inclusive drinks were very watered down, and the pool bar staff often seemed miserable.| • No music or atmosphere around the children’s pool, which is located far away from any food or drink facilities, making it impractical for families to use. This pool is shown in the hotel’s advertising and isn’t very accessible either—you have to walk quite far for refreshments, which isn’t ideal for families with young children.| • Entertainment was mediocre and mostly indoors in a hot, stuffy hall—it felt more like a holiday camp than a resort.| • The hotel doesn’t offer a shuttle or any safe walking route to Fanabe beach. Instead, you have to pay for a taxi or risk crossing a very dangerous road and walking down a steep hill. The location is definitely not ideal.||Sadly, I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning. Families deserve better—especially from a place that claims to...
