UPDATE Following a second visit, the food was just as super. However, staff were not prepared for our booking made several days earlier.

Table hurriedly prepared in the full sun (no shaded seats remaining as all but two tables for four people were occupied by parties of two). Chose to move into the hallway of the restaurant until shady seat became available. Table was made available after our starters (30 mins later), which we declined as no wish to move again by this time.

We would still recommend this restaurant as the food is great and staff are friendly. However, seems little point in booking. Perhaps a great restaurant to drop into if you're shopping in the centre anyway.

Note to owners: We try to stay objective in our reviews. However, it may be beneficial for you to know that a waitress from one of your other restaurants occupied a table of four (she was a party of two) - arriving before us and leaving after us. She and her dining guest were observed to drink and play cards at the table.

Great restaurant. Excellent food with super service. Professional, yet friendly, staff welcomed and looked after us. Would certainly return and recommend.

Note: this restaurant is located through a shopping centre with a road beneath the outside seating area. We are glad this did not deter us, as we would have missed out on great food and service. ...

Went here for lunch today .. my birthday. We read the reviews before we went, which are pretty mixed, but thought ..hey, how wrong can they go with meat. The service when we arrived was fine ..nice smiley service staff ..the place looks clean and the meat displayed at the front counter looked nice and fresh. The food arrived fast enough. Unfortunately ..and I say this because I think it's true ..it looked like warmed up leftovers. I've never seen fresh grilled chicken with hard edges ..the steak was greasy and frankly tasted disgusting ..with so much spice on it, presumably to disguise the taste of grease, it burnt my tongue. The table staff were attentive ..they came over several times to ask if we'd like another drink, even though we hadn't finished the ones we had. We didn't finish the meal, left more than half of it ..when we paid the bill the server asked us if it was ok. My husband won't lie so he said 'not really'. The look of 'what, I can't believe this' on her face was a picture of comedy ..she actually told us we hadn't complained during the meal, inferring that we didn't want to pay the bill. We didn't complain because ..what's the point, they must know the food is not up to par.

Our steak and pork chop arrived on our plates without the other side dishes we ordered, ie fries, salad, bread, sauce, etc. As the waitress walked away, I enquired about them. She said they were coming.

Two minutes later (I timed it) she returned with most of the missing sides, apart from the pepper sauce. As she walked away, without saying anything further to us, I again enquired about the missing item. She replied “it’s coming, I only have two hands”. These were her exact words as my wife and I were very surprised by her attitude.

Having spent part of my life working in a family bar and restaurant, I know she should have said something like ‘your side dishes are just coming’ on her first visit.

In fact it’s poor management of resources to have waiting staff make three visits to a table like this. Why deliver only the meat first? But under no circumstances should staff show contempt to a customer when they make a genuine enquiry.

The second problem was I asked for my steak to be cooked ‘medium rare’, commonly accepted as red in the very centre, then pink towards the browned seared outer crust. As my photo shows, my steak was...
