Mi Ancla Restaurand and Tapas — Restaurant in Adeje

I rarely leave reviews, but on the 4 days that we were in Tenerife not a single restaurant served as good and authentic home cooked food as this family. They were so good we wanted to eat at theirs again on the last night but we couldn’t because their kitchen had a problem.

The tuna tartare was fresh and marinated well with fresh basil leaves. Their spaghetti was al dente, with so much flavour from the clams 🤤 and the main star was the seafood risotto… so rich in seafood and packed with flavour. The seafood grill wasn’t too impressive, but the red prawns 🦐 were very very succulent and flavourful!!

No offence, but a lot of other restaurant food were subpar and perhaps adapted to British tastebuds, so I’m glad this restaurant shows what true home cooking is to them. Thank you!!! We will hopefully be back in the future!

Their desserts weren’t as outstanding but their Sangria was the best! (So much fruits inside...

Such a bad experience and disappointment! THE STAFF ARE RUDE, UNFOCUSED, AND ENTIRELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I waited for hours before my food finally arrived, and when it did, it was completely tasteless and uninspired. The portions were tiny, leaving me far from satisfied, and it felt like a total waste of both food and time. I left still hungry, completely baffled as to how this place even manages to operate? The service was disorganised, there was no attention to detail, and the whole experience was frustrating from start to finish. It’s shocking that a restaurant can function with such poor standards. Honestly, it doesn’t deserve a spot on anyone’s list. 0/5—I would strongly advise...

This was an absolutely excellent find. In the most random place literally a 2 minute walk from our apartment. The tapas and regular mains were excellent. I’ve eaten a lot of tapas at some really good and quite expensive places around the UK and Spain…..this was right up there. Quality and price was amazing, the table wear was lovely and suited to the food and the view was glorious. The staff were so so friendly and helpful and it was hands down the cheapest meal and by far best meal of our entire week. Please please please, give Your money, time and love to this beautifully local restaurant and stay away from the expensive (mostly rubbish) chain restaurants. 100/10 for adults...
