Dedos X-sur | Burgers & casual dining — Restaurant in Adeje

My recent visit to Dedos X-Sur was, regrettably, one of the worst dining experiences I've encountered. I had high hopes for a pleasant meal due to all the recommendations but was met with a series of disappointments that left me frustrated and unsatisfied.

Upon arriving, I waited over 15 minutes to be attended to, despite the presence of several staff members who seemed more interested in socializing than serving customers. It was disheartening to see them prioritize other tasks over simply taking my order. Eventually, I had to stand up and ask for a menu, as no one acknowledged my presence or greeted me during my entire visit.

When I was finally handed a menu, it took several more minutes for anyone to return and take my order. During this time, the table I was seated at remained dirty, which added to my discomfort.

I decided to order the 'Cheeky Burger,' promoted as a contender for 'Best Burger 2024.' The menu noted that the burger should be requested to be cooked to avoid it being served pink. After a long wait, I received my burger, which unfortunately arrived burnt and was not as depicted in the promotional images. It was disappointing and far from something you’d proudly serve. The fries were also undercooked and tasted like they had been fried in reused oil.

After the food was served, no one checked back to see if everything was satisfactory or if I needed anything else. I ended up sitting there for over 40 minutes without any further attention from the staff. Despite my attempts to record the situation and even leaving and returning to the restaurant, the staff seemed more concerned with their conversations than attending to customers.

Finally, as I was leaving, a young woman approached me, concerned about what had happened. However, by that time, I had already decided that the experience was beyond salvageable.

I share this account in detail for others to judge for themselves. While I understand that mistakes can happen, the combination of poor service, lack of attention to cleanliness, and the unacceptable quality of the food makes it difficult for me to recommend Dedos X-Sur. I hope that management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary...

In a past life my job was to arrange/book and deliver top quality entertainment in restaurants for corporate events. Several times I was asked what I looked for in a location. Simply put you can have the best food in the world served by a poorly trained waiter/waitress and the restaurant would be placed low on the list, normally we would never book again. - conversely you can have average food served by a highly trained motivated waiter/waitress and it will be placed very high on the list.

The Waiter/Waitress is front of house and represents the company and your entertainment value.

Carmen served us this evening - clearly she was highly trained with attention to detail and showed considerable consciousness of the consumers needs. We did not have time to eat but she smiled and asked if we would like to taste a choice of wines before purchasing. I give her 5 stars and wish her well...

OLD: I had a vegan burger, a really tiny and simple bowl and some chicken tenders. The quality of the food is really poor in my opinion. They may have good beef meat (didn’t try it) but my food options were quite unimaginative and uncharitable. I cannot recommend them. To be honest, I didn’t feel quite well after eating here. NEW: After another try at this place, I have to change the review from 2 to 5 stars. This time I ordered a double smash burger and some beef quesadillas. The portions and the taste of both options was really really good. One of the best burgers I had so far and the best on the island.
