Restaurante Valentín — Restaurant in Almeria

Recommended by our apartment hosts we decided to try it out for lunch. From the outside it looks like a small restaurant but looks deceive! There are a number of dining rooms inside which are well laid out and inviting. Very busy for a Wednesday lunchtime . Staff were good and realised we were not Spanish asked if we wanted the English menu (big plus for what is not really a foreign tourist area). We had Russian Salad, croquettas for starters along with bread and homemade Alioi followed by the fish and noodle stew. All good food, well presented. I give one star to the “restaurant”, because there is no zero. Absolutely horrendous and bad prepared food. We don’t speak spanish, so asked for menu in english. Be aware that what you order from english menu can be translated wrong from spanish. I was served completely different dish from based on the translation. My husband was served the saltiest salad in his life. Paella was served with plastic rice inside, couldn’t eat it. The tastiest thing in that evening was water. Sinvergüenzas!! No hay otra palabra. Realizamos una reunión de trabajo para 30 personas (al final se cayeron 5) En primer lugar una charla y posterior cena. Ofrecen un servicio de sala para reuniones con pantalla (ya que no tiene proyector , que por supuesto tienes q llevártelo tú) a 45 min de la hora de inicio la pantalla sin colgar y faltándole tornillos, vamos q poco más y tengo q hacer de azafata como en la ruleta de la suerte. Mientas se estaba dando la charla no hay cosa más desagradable que los camareros montando mesas con el ruido correspondiente de los mismos ( no se oía nada ) y aquí los señores del restaurante tenían una cena de 20 comensales en la parte superior q era donde estábamos nosotros , pues no contentos con el ruido que estaban haciendo se suman 20 personas q iban a cenar , y nosotros en plena charla !!!!!!!! LAMeNTABLe SERViCio! Y ya como remate final debido a q faltaron 5 personas , deberíamos de haber pagado los comensales q hemos consumido , pues no Señores ellos cobran todo aunq no vengan.
