Krishna Tandoori — Restaurant in Arona

Wie oft habe ich schon da gegessen und einfach immer lecker. Für mich nicht wichtig, das Krishna ist eine perfekte Adresse für Vegetarier und Veganer. Der Koch beherrscht sein Handwerk, ob mild, madras, vindalo oder phal, der Schärfegrad gibt zu keinen Klagen anlass. Mit Papadams, Pickels, Mangochutney, eine seeehr scharfen Chilisauce und MinzeI starte ich in meine indische Serenade. Ich mag die Onion Bhajis, Chicken Pakoras und Samosas dürfen nicht fehlen und ohne Tandoori Hühnerschlegel fange ich gar nicht an. Der Engländer würde sagen 'to die for'. Immer wieder gönne ich mir Lamm mit Okraschoten, ein Butterchicken lassen wir uns schmecken, wiedermal ein Kashmiri oder Pasanda und und und die Dhals sind Klasse, Sag aloo mag ich und für mich Pilawreis. I always try to find actual Indian restaurants on my travels as a lot of them are not actually Indian and thus, the chefs style in flavour can be very different. Tenerife is the same with many “Indian” restaurants not actually Indian and many won’t know the difference, but true Curry Connoisseurs will. Krishna is fantastic. The service and food is top notch. You can tell it’s the place to go for actual authentic Indian food when the local Indian shop staff and local Indians were also in there. The best Indian restaurant in Las Americas. Recommended by locals and it’s well worth it! It’s hidden away so you’ll only know about this hidden gem through word of mouth. But now I’ve found it, it won’t be the last visit.

The service was excellent, this family run business really shows from their kind and friendly nature.

The food…. Brilliant, better than the local takeaway you’d find at home or abroad. The portions aren’t perfect size which plenty to go around to share dishes. The curries are full of flavour and the meat is fresh and plentiful.

It’s a must eat place when in Tenerife....
