I recently visited Hello Pho, and it was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The warm greeting at the door and the subtle scent of fresh herbs and simmering broth instantly set the tone. The space is simple and clean, not overly decorated, but thoughtfully arranged. It felt authentic without trying too hard. There was a calm energy inside, with soft conversations, clinking bowls, and the comforting smell of home-cooked food filling the air. I started with the summer rolls. They were tightly wrapped, stuffed with shrimp, vermicelli, lettuce, and fresh mint. The peanut dipping sauce was thick and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. It was the kind of starter that tells you the kitchen cares about every detail. Then came the star of the night: the pho. I ordered the rare steak and brisket combo. The bowl arrived steaming, with tender slices of beef slowly cooking in the hot, rich broth. I could taste the depth—hours of simmering had brought out layers of flavor. The noodles were silky, the herbs fresh, and the optional chili and lime added just the right kick. I also tried the bun cha. The grilled pork was beautifully charred and paired with crispy spring rolls and cool vermicelli noodles. The dipping sauce tied everything together—sweet, salty, and fragrant. It was light, satisfying, and full of contrast. Their Vietnamese iced coffee was a perfect end to the meal. Strong and sweet with a layer of condensed milk, it gave me a nice little caffeine boost without being overly sugary. I sipped it slowly, soaking in the relaxed atmosphere. One thing I noticed was how clean everything was. Tables were cleared quickly, cutlery spotless, and the open kitchen gave a peek into the care behind each dish. It’s clear the team takes pride in what they do. The service was another highlight. Friendly, quick, and genuine. The staff checked in just enough without hovering. When I asked for a recommendation, they explained the dishes patiently and helped me choose what best matched my mood. Prices were more than reasonable. For the portion size and quality, it felt like real value. You could easily come here for a casual lunch or a comforting dinner without breaking the bank. As I sat there, I saw a steady stream of regulars coming in. Some greeted the staff by name. It was obvious that Hello Pho has a loyal following—and now I understand why. Before leaving, I had a short chat with one of the owners. Their family runs the place, and it shows in the food and the care. They told me they started Hello Pho to share what they missed from home. That spirit is alive in every bite. I left full, relaxed, and happy. No pretension. Just honest, well-made Vietnamese food served with heart. Hello Pho has definitely earned a spot on my go-to list. If you’re craving something comforting, balanced, and deeply satisfying, go to Hello Pho. It’s not just a meal—it’s a little trip to Hanoi, one bowl at a time. I’ll be back soon.

Since their opening, I've come to this place three times, one lunch and two dinners, but only remembered to take a picture of my last stir fried glass noodles with shrimp, which was full of authentic Vietnamese traditional taste that I had back in the country and their portion was very generous. If you never had Vietnamese food before, in Barcelona, this place is an ideal go-to. If you know what legit Vietnamese cuisine is like, this place is absolutely an ideal go-to. Win-win situation for both haha. Each meal costed me around 15-20 eur for a full meal including one coke, one main dish and one dessert( I didn't get the appetizer since it will be too much for me alone). Plus they are also having a 15% discount for all dishes. The atmosphere is cozy and very tidy, which gives a family friendly vibe. The owner is very kind as well as the service. They always smile to me when they come to deliver or take the empty plates away! Also, their desserts are really interesting too, make sure you save some room in your tummy for the banana sweet soup 😆. In short, definitely will be back! 9.5/10

I recently had the pleasure of trying Bun Bo Hue at Hello Pho and I have to say, it was hands down the best version I’ve ever had. As someone who grew up with Vietnamese food in California, I’m no stranger to this dish, and I’ve made it a point to order it wherever I travel. But nothing, absolutely nothing, has compared to the incredible flavors of this bowl. Sabor! The broth was rich and deep, with just the right balance of spicy, savory, and tangy notes. Every slurp of the noodles made my mouth water, and I found myself savoring every bite as if it was my first. What made the experience even better was the warm and welcoming staff. They were friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home, which made the meal even more enjoyable. If I ever find myself in Barcelona again, you can bet I’ll be back to try more of my favorite Vietnamese dishes. This Bun Bo Hue will forever be in my memory as the standard for how incredible this dish can truly be.
