We stayed at the duplex apartment on the first floor, facing the street. Firstly, reception is not always available at the desk. It’s difficult to communicate with them, book a taxi or anything else you may need, even change a room The room was nicely decorated to what appears to be a recent (less than 5 years) renovation. There is a tiny balcony overlooking the street. Up the stairs you enter the bedroom and instantly notice the stuffy air. Despite it being a duplex, there are no windows on the second level so it gets very warm unless you leave the window on the first floor wide open. The bed is king size but the pillows are not very comfortable and rather hard. The lack of air and the not-so-comfortable bedding means you may wake up feeling tired as we did on a few occasions. The other thing that’s lacking is the quality of the WiFi - it’s slow, keeps dropping and is not reliable if you need to do some work or stream. The biggest let-down was the noise. Because you need to sleep with the window open, there will be loud talking from the bar below, screaming, dragging of plastic crates at 6AM — you get the picture. Unless your room is located differently, do not book the street-facing rooms. Overall sentiment is neutral, I would not prefer to book there again, unless it’s a different room. There is a roof-top terrace with a mini swimming pool and nice views. The views look better in the pictures you see online but it is not as good in reality. As well for the whole staying the room was Not cleaned up even once , neither taking out rubbish Verdict: I feel we were catfished into this as it’s not as good as you are...

Read moreAll the staff were fantastic, both cleaners and reception staff. Easy to find on a very quiet street. We parked at Reina Sofia for 3 days which was under a 10 minute walk away, take a ticket in entering and pay on exit. We were sent a key code by reception well in advance so easy to get into the building - through the street door you have a beautiful and calm atrium. Check in is 4pm but we were able to get in at 2pm. All rooms face down into this space: we stayed in room 9 - beware, this seems to have a water tank in the ceiling space or mains pipe running vertically through the wall between bathroom and bedroom that never stops. You don’t notice the noise until the dead of the evening - it’s like having a toilet cistern constantly filling next to your bed. We got no sleep and had to change rooms, moving to room 6 on the ground floor which was far better - the lady on reception was very accommodating to move us. Rooms are spacious with a sofa and kitchenette and huge beds. Showers have great pressure and plenty of heat. ||We stayed during the Carnaval de Cadiz and this location was super quiet with only one...
