We attended a flamenco show on a Saturday evening in September 2025 at La Cava. We purchased our tickets through the concierge at our hotel, though they can also be bought online.
The show alone costs €30 (including one drink and olives), while the tapas menu option—five tapas and two drinks—is only €48, which is excellent value for money. We chose just the show, but the tapas looked delicious.
To be honest, I didn’t expect much at first, thinking it might be a typical tourist attraction. The performance started at 21:30 and lasted about an hour. Our table was the farthest from the stage, but since the venue is small, the view was still good.
As soon as the show began, I was completely drawn in. The singing, the guitar, the dancing, the rhythm of the steps—it felt as if my heart had been seized and my spirit deeply moved.
It is absolutely worth attending this show. Performances are not held every night, and the artists may vary, but I’m confident the quality remains just as high. I even noticed some Spaniards in the audience, which added to the authenticity.
The service was very friendly, and the staff spoke good English.

Read moreDON’T go there!!!! We could not book for the next day. In the morning I tried again and it worked. The problem when we came was that the table was completely on the side of the scene behind another table. I said immediately to the manager such place was unacceptable but he didn’t care, replying : if you’re not happy you can leave but there is no refund anyway. We stayed, we could barely see anything although we paid the same price as all other people. It is just dishonest to put a table in the place and bear in mind they choose where they place you don’t! The show itself was of rather poor quality compared to the ones I have seen in other places. Reason number one is they are only 4 artists performing so one guitar, one singing and two dancing (man and woman). Because they were two dancers only they perform only Individually (as they would be otherwise physically exhausted) while in other shows there are 3-4 dancers. Tap dancing in couple or even more is usually mixed with individual performances and has much more resonance. The woman singing was not changing her style at all. In short, EUR60 and...

I can't remember the exact price per person for the show plus one drink, but it was quite reasonable. Each of had an additional drink during the performances, and the total for our group was under 11 euros.
The performance! Wow. Different musicians and dancers (and dances) for the two performances, possibly because our first experience was in 2019 and our second was just recently, in 2022. But each time they were exemplary. I got the impression that these flamenco performers were used to much larger more prestigious venues, but Taberna La Cava is the sort of ancient, intimate, tasteful venue that a performer will enjoy after the glamor of the larger stage. That was the vibe we got each time, anyway! And being close to the performance was definitely part of the magic.
You can purchase a CD of the performers' music on your way out. We did so in 2019 but it really is so much better to experience...
