I love this hotel, it's been good to me. I have stayed here many times. The location can't be beat in Ibiza Town, the rooms are good and the premium ones are fantastic.
I wrote a negative review to get the owners to pay attention, which was kind of a valid temper-tantrum.
The manager just recognized me walking in after I wrote this post (I haven't been here in several days so, that's impressive by itself.). We went over the issues I commented on, and she was very attentive and will work with the new owners, Eurostar, to resolve. I don't expect perfection, but it's nice to see a hotel with a strong feedback loop.
I leave the comments below.
The Internet is not consistent across the hotel. If you end up in a room away from a router, the Internet does not work. Owners: buy signal amplifiers.
Your morning staff takes 10+ minutes to process a transaction. I am trying to pay you money. You make it hard. I literally go get a coffee or go get sushi just to pass the time between when I tell the staff I want to stay another night and when I can pay. They click around on terrible software. Their computers are slow. Three people stand around a computer that is old, slow, doesn't work, and runs on terrible software.
Every time I order a drink at the bar, it causes a 10-20 minute cascade of confusion. Every time I ask for a drink for me or my friends, 2-4 people get involved besides the person behind the bar. Train and support your bartenders, even if that's not their only role.
Your "Air Conditioning" is not consistent. I got moved to a better room, but the Air Conditioning doesn't make it cool. It's still hot. And I am here in October, in July this room would be unlivable.
The gym is really small for the size of this hotel. There is one treadmill, one bike, one machine, and some weights. This is Ibiza, where people will spend an hour a day just to work out their butt muscles so their ass looks better. Not sure how you have this big of a hotel and that small of a gym.
The employees here are wonderful, the location is wonderful. Best hotel in Ibiza Town, hands down.
I recommend Eurostar do the following:
Adding this 1hr after this review. I went downstairs and I asked for a fork. A fork. To eat a dish. There were 5 women behind the front desk, and they all said it was behind the bar. No one walked to the bar to get me one. I walked to the bar get it. There was no one working behind the bar. If a hotel guest asks for a fork, go get them a fork. Take the word fork, and apply it to anything. It does not take five employees to do nothing. If you are going to do nothing, just have no one. Same...
Read moreLocation. Perfect for visiting the old town and its historical sides especially Dalt Vila (we were walking on Sunday evening and the main paths were illuminated). Shopping, Food stores nearby, one in ab. 100m of walking with good selection of food, Port and bus stop are close.
No parking close. Solution: we parked the car in the Ikea parking place, ab.10 min of walk. Attn. Check save walking path with traffic lights.
Breakfast. Very good: from salty to sweets anf fruits (see pictures), personnel helped when yhere wad a need. Man and woman (excuse me, dont know their names) replied friendly to the questions about milk and muchrooms I asked. Attn.! Coffee machines stop working at 10.30 when breakfast is over. Take coffee in time.
Spa. We didn't use the service.
To be improved: Sauna and jakuzzi (not massage) could be included into the price of the room, not charged additiinally per hour. For us it was strange to have swimming pool and SPA separated. It would increase amount and loyality of guests as well as potential amount of clients for massage.
Roof bar and pool. Funny for chilling, regreshing and atmosphere. Not deep enough for swimming of adults.
To be improved: Payment by bankcard. Not everybody takes bankcard with. Can be payed at the reception afterwords - for guests of the hotel. To be improved.
Room and lounge. Good beds! The room was cleaned daily. Towels were changed daily. when we left them at the floor (not always -saving of water and electricity). Fridge was the must! Great that it was in the room! Stylish and of a good quality. Safe is useful.
To be improved: Planning mistake with doors of wc:s: was diffucult to open sometimes. To be improved. Night are humide, swimming towels and sutes do not dry at night. To be improved. Shower: very good! Cons: Takes time to warm water and a couple of times temperature changed from warm to hot. Not save for kids. To be improved. Lounge not enough used.
Service. Personnel differ. I was very pleased to receive recommendations and help from some persons, especially from amazing Jacinto and Ana. I was pleased to discuss with Jacinto about the history and nature of Ibiza, restaurants and with Ana about beaches and places to visit. Many thanks to them for politeness, patience and interest. Would I have more time... Some small cities have not been visited yet. I got much help from Jacinto and Ana with wine glasses and plate and knife. Personnel is ready to help if your roomcard doesn't work (shouldn"t be kept near the phone).
To be improved: Not much to do for kids/teens in the hotel if you don't have a car. We didn"t use the hotel daytime because were travelling around Ibiza. Better use of space (lounge upstairs, lounge downstairs) and a room for kids/teens can be...
Read moreThis is a 4* hotel, upon arriving to reception, there was one male and two females, a queue started to form and the females were just stood talking to each other. Every female receptionist I dealt with was unhelpful and looked miserable. Credit to all of the male members of staff they were very attentive and helpful. This is my second stay here and I have to say the location is fantastic. It’s a nice modern hotel and worth the price we paid (€100 per night not including breakfast). Upon arriving to our room, I’d noticed that the room I was given wasn’t as nice as last time, the cushions and throw were purple instead of blue and it just didn’t feel as nice in there. Our air conditioning wasn’t working they sent someone up about 5 hours after we had told them and he couldn’t fix it so luckily they offered to move our room. This room was much better and was like the room I previously stayed in. The only downfall which is the same as last time I stayed last year, the water in the shower can all of a sudden go scalding hot meaning you have to quickly move every time it does it (2 to 3 times every shower) there are lots of reviews saying the same thing but they don’t seem to be doing anything about it, upon telling the manager he seemed surprised. But other than that I have to give a shout out to the male manager he was so helpful and a very nice person. We had two nights of being woken up at 6am by next door which were just presumably just getting in from a night out, banging shouting running up and down door opening and closing. After we reported it the room were warned and the manager offered us half price spa access and we did want to use the spa so we were happy to take that. We went to use the spa at 17:50 as it says on the website it opens at 16:30 until 10:30pm (it still says it) but they have changed the hours 10 until 6pm, so we weren’t able to use it which was disappointing as it was our last day. Saying that the manager did get us a jug of sangria in return so that was really nice. Overall I would return, there are just a few tweaks that would...
