The location is nicely situated next to the slopes and convenient for people who want to enjoy winter sports. Hotel also has its own parking on-site with free valet. The balcony overlooked the slopes but it would've been nice to have chairs out there to sit and enjoy the sun. It's hard to justify paying steep prices to stay here because it feels as though you don't get anything back for what you paid, unfortunately. Our room was incredibly dry and hot and there was nothing we could do except open the windows wide all night. The room is also quite small. The room was also right next to where people play pool and the music and people were loud throughout the night. The gym is small and has some essentials but misses the overall gym feel. The staff was friendly and tried to accommodate any issues we had. Free shuttle service is nice to get you down and back from the center (restaurants and bars).

We choose Maribel as our ski in/out option in Sierra Nevada. And it was totally worth it. Super good location with 15 minutes walk down the hill to the center and 20 minutes walks uphill to the top of Sierra Nevada. However the service was a bit lacking, the ski room did help with the boots, inroom service connected us to the el lodge, one day the spa was a complete mess ( no towels, no shower gels, no water etc ) and only after I called the reception they fixed it. So the service part is a little rusty as this time. Also beware that Maribel is not big, but rather very compact hotel. Additionally the spa as it shown on the photos, the relaxing area is a woody thing with no “sunbeds” inside the spa, only on the outside terrace. The food those is amazing! And the design of the in-house restaurant 🤌🏼

I spent three days with my family in a holiday trip.|The Maribel is the young sister of the consolidated hotel 'The Lodge' (which is nearby). The service and personal attention to detail of the staff was simply outstanding. Kudos to the management.|The room was great with a beautiful view to the snow-capped mountains and ski tracks. I loved the bear skin on the bed, nice touch. Not sure I approve of the toilet window not having a curtain though...|The food and cooking was likewise outstanding. The only criticism would be the salty goffres (whose idea was that?) for breakfast.|The ski equipment service & staff were also top notch. The fact they heat overnight the ski boots so they are nice and warm when you put them on the following morning left me speechless. Now that's quality!|I loved the animal skins and fluffys on the outside terrace. Sipping a mojito al fresco whilst having a plush beak skin on your lap is just too good to be true.|The hotel shuttle mercifully collects clients with their ski-ladden equipment from the town centre. What a relief this is after a hard day's skiing! |The holiday trip turned out to be great and it was mostly thanks to the Maribel and its people.|All in all, a 5-star service. Worth every cent you pay. |Will be back in April if the weather allows it.|P.S. the views of the ski slopes and surrounding mountains from the wooden dining hall are simply breathtaking. Don't miss out on the sunsets at dusk! Truly an...

,||I am writing to provide feedback on our recent stay at your hotel, which, unfortunately, was overshadowed by a few significant issues.||We stayed in a family room, and during our visit, my 19 years old son had a serious fall down the wooden staircase from the upper floor. The stairs were quite slippery due to their smooth surface, especially when wearing ski socks. To make matters worse, the skirting board of the staircase was loose and caused a sharp cut on his hand , resulting in bleeding and several bruises. This was very distressing, and we strongly recommend you address this issue to avoid similar incidents.||In the spa area, we noticed that there were no hooks to hang towels or bathrobes, leading many guests to place their items on the wooden benches.
