This hotel is really lovely! It smells lovely as soon as you walk in, and is spotless! Front of house staff are really lovely too & super helpful. We went end of April, and unfortunately the weather in Mallorca wasn’t amazing, however, we did still try the pool. The pool was cold (as it states online that it is unheated) but it was also salt water! Which was a bit of a shock! However, very refreshing. We went with our 2.5 year old son and the hotel is in a good location. There is a park about a 2 minute walk from the hotel, and a beach less than 5 minute walk and then another part of the beach about a further 5 minutes where we bought a ball and played football one evening. Restaurants are closeby and there is a good variety to choose from although bear in mind that because they are near the harbour/sea, a lot of the restaurants are based solely around seafood. |The beds were honestly the comfiest beds we have ever slept on! And the duvets were so soft! They catered for our son with the cot really well. And our room was really big & spacious which was unexpected. The hotel itself you can’t really fault. However, what I didn’t realise is that the hotel is mainly aimed at old people! We are in our 20’s and have a 2.5 year old son, so when we turned up to this hotel and it was just old people - they instantly made us feel really uncomfortable and the looks we were given was indicating that our 2.5 year old who just wanted to enjoy the pool and have fun as any toddler does want to do on holiday was absolutely ruining their relaxing vibes. I do understand that it can ruin it slightly, however, this isn’t an ADULTS ONLY hotel. If you wanted to stay somewhere without having a child turning up, then you should book an ADULTS ONLY hotel. We used the pool once whilst we were away, because we didn’t want to be made to feel uncomfortable so we sat at the beach or hid in our room for the time that we were there. We also felt at breakfast that all eyes were on us if our son was kicking off or being super loud (as 2.5 year olds do sometimes) and the reception we got back from the old people just wasn’t ok. I would suggest that if you are a child-less couple then this hotel is probably great for you. However, if you have kids, I would probably go to a different hotel. I’m not sure if in season the hotel has still got lots of old people going there - as we went technically out of season - but bear in mind, there is a chairlift going into the pool! On a lighter note, there is AMAZING views just a short walk outside of the hotel on the beach front. The sunset is absolutely...
Read moreI enjoyed my holiday very much at the Apolo Hotel. I booked for b&b, but also went for dinner on my last evening. The food was always of a high standard, fresh and hot. Amazing choice of breakfast items, I was sorry I only had one stomach!|My room was bright and comfortable, and was cleaned each day. The staff always said hello and were so friendly. I have to say that the reception staff didn't go out of their way to speak, but in fairness, I suppose there must be a lot of people going past. The a/c was very good. It stops if you open the window, so don't think it's broken, if you make that mistake!|The hotel is so near the beach. If you go to the seafront and turn right, there's a lovely walk with sand dunes, and lots of places to sit. It was too hot for me to walk very far, though. |The hotel pool looked nice and clean, but as I'm not a swimmer, I only used the sun loungers. There were lots of these, and also other comfortable chairs to sit on. |There were several restaurants and supermarkets within a short walking distance from the hotel. As a solo traveler I felt safe walking by myself.|There was entertainment on at the hotel one evening, but I didn't go as I was by myself. My room was at the front of the hotel, which meant I couldn't hear any music, so can't comment on it. Unfortunately, I could hear street sounds very clearly, and being a light sleeper, was frequently wakened by voices and vehicles. However, you can't have everything, and the positives far outweighed the negatives. I would thoroughly recommend the Apollo Hotel, and would happily go back to stay. |The only thing that marred my holiday was the amount of dog dirt which owners just left on the ground. It was really disgusting. |There's a little land train which runs from Ca'n Pastilla to Arenal. There's a stop at the end of the hotel road. It's about 5 euros for a round trip, but you can get off anywhere along the route and walk for a bit, or go for a drink or to the beach, and get another train later on. They run every half hour until late. |I loved my little solo holiday, and look forward to going back with family or friends...
Read moreGood place to stay.Room was good and food was nice. There was some bad thing also. First thing what i dont understad is why the swimig pool works till 18:00? No really, why? So i was traveling around the island and after my trip i want to go swim, but its already closing. Second thing - its not the best idea to rent bicycle from this hotel, cuz they are becoming old and nobody from staff taking care of them. The price is only 5 euro, but i had front tire almost no air and standing leg was almost broken. Third thing - I was renting car with friend from receptin catalog and choose car for 60 euro per day. Woman from reception called to car rental company and they said, what they can drive us from hotel to their place. When we asked for car, the guy was saying what car is no more available and offered car 10 euro more. We sayd ok. And while we start to pay, they told us, what we should psy for driving us to they place 10 euro (we drived 2 km from hotel) So we payed 20 euro more then we should. And when we tryed to park after trip, there was no parking place for free. So parked car in hotel parking (and of course nobody said what we should pay 10 euro for parking) The guy from reception saying what they dont cooperate with car rental company so we should pay. The question from my side is - If u dont cooperate with them, why this company is in your catalog? So if u try to take car expect to pay 30 euro more. And the last thing was, what room cleaner forgot her card in our room. For sure that card was opening all the rooms and somebody could use that card to steal somethig from...
