The food here is extremely good- it’s a very popular spot. The staff on the whole were also really nice.

Myself and girlfriend were seated and I ordered a pizza, my girlfriend ordered a pasta. After around 5 minutes I realised I ordered a pizza without tomato base so I spoke to the staff member at the counter to try and order a new pizza. He told me the pizza is already in the oven and that i’d like it. Sure enough I didn’t like it after a slight taste, so I ordered something else. From this point we were pretty much avoided it seemed, and the pizza took a good while to come. Let me be clear- it was MY mistake that I ordered the wrong pizza.

What happened afterwards annoyed me- all of the tables around us were being offered a Limoncello shot but we never had the same offer. Also, on the bill I was charged for the whole pizza that I made a mistake for. The fact that I tried within minutes to order a new pizza and had made a genuine mistake I thought would warrant some discretion on charging me for 100% of the pizza? I’m not saying I wanted it off the bill but you got the best part of 20 euro extra off me for a genuine mistake- that’s not a way to treat your guests at a high end Italian which you guys are claiming to be. Surely you could discount the pizza to cost so you’re not making money off my mistake? We ordered a main each, a glass of wine each and a bottle of water.

The gentlemen then said at the end that we can negotiate the bill but that should have been done beforehand.

In my opinion these are the finer details that can make or break an experience. It’s not cheap here, so to not charge me for the whole pizza would...

I used to come here quite often and also I ordered a couple of times in Glovo already - I have to say, it was my last time today. The price increase over the years is absolutely crazy and the quality is getting lower and lower. No wonder we were THE ONLY table in the whole restaurant while every other restaurant in the area is completely full. We had the Pizza Vesuviana and the Pizza Mortadella. Waiting time approx. 15min. The Vesuviana was okayish, soaked in oil but the taste was alright. The Mortadella was the most boring Pizza we ever tried.

Service staff was just standing around and playing on her phone. As two more people came, she had to serve them and straight back to her phone. Also asking for a tip after receiving ZERO attention and service was kind of weird but I guess for tourists it‘s working well.

It‘s a pitty - i really liked Contro Corrente because the pizza was always the best but unfortunately they lost everything. I‘m fine with paying more money for better quality but I have the feeling that they just want to squeeze the tourists. Quality is getting poorer, service is literally non existant and prices are climbing. There are at least 4 better pizza places in Can Pastilla if you walk 2min further and you‘ll not regret it.

the food was overall okay, however more on the pricey side. the pizza dough was not stable at all and the pasta fruti di mare is not recommendable and very stale. risotto from the parmesan wheel was very good. however, we were extremely disappointed in the service. we were served by a waitress who was sleepy, seemingly like he was on drugs or hungover. even when asking him 3 times for a water, a glass of wine or an extra fork he took ages to finally bring it. additionally we had to wait over 30 minutes on our starters and again over 45 minutes on our main courses while people around us who came way later ( and were served by different waitresses…) got their food earlier than we did. additionally when asking him, he was very rude and did not provide help at all. overall it’s such a pity, since we might would have enjoyed the experience a lot without the waitress. interesting and nice concept with cool ideas like a pizza with a ricotta stuffed crust. however, we will not come back and don’t recommend until they’ve got their waiters in check. no tip for him as well! please check your...
