We would never stay here again. It is all looks and no substance. It is not a four star level of property or service. For the price you pay you should find better.
We have dietary restrictions including one coeliac and the staff just did not care at all. We emailed in advance to let them know and they never even replied. They had fruit salad and bacon in the buffet so we asked for a serving of each fresh from the kitchen to avoid cross contamination from the buffet and they would not do it. This is common practice in any other 4 star we stay at. We also asked for almond milk and they had none and would not get any even with a supermarket 2 minutes walk away. For us it was an all you can't eat buffet. Our celiac member has no breakfast for her entire stay. Spain in general is amazing for coeliacs and why we holiday here but this hotel is not.
The rooms are not only very, very small but just very badly laid out. There is no room to put your bags so you have to climb over them to get to your bed. There is one plug beside the bed so you can either charge your phone or have a bedside light on.
The shower floods into the main room, a fact noted in other reviews over 1 year ago and we reported it to the front desk and nothing was done. They are obviously used to it. We had 2 rooms and in one the shower floods the bedroom and in the other it floods the entrance way and toilet.
The toilet has no locks - a fact that made our kids anxious about someone accidentally opening the door when they are in there. No privacy if sharing a twin room with another person.
And the little details too were missed.
The kettle in the room could not switch off when boiled so had to be watched and manually stopped. The "designer" cups had no handles and burnt your hands when picked up - a health and safety risk if dropped. The herbal tea bags had no ingredients listed beyond "herbal" so we had no idea what it contained. There were no facial tissues so we used toilet paper.
The room cleaners also left our room door wide open after they had finished cleaning and then walked away. Luckily we found it so after a short while, otherwise it could have been open all day.
Getting the air conditioning to a desirable temperature is impossible. We also asked this to be fixed but nothing happened. It was the same in both rooms.
The good points are a nice spa area with pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.
The outdoor seats by the water feature are also nice. It is also in a great location.
For such a newly built hotel these are rookie design and function mistakes. It felt like someone lost the run of themselves in an effort to make this hotel look cool and forgot the importance of user friendliness and functionality....

Read moreHM Palma Blanc is a modern hotel about 15 minutes walk to the centre of Palma. Breakfast was the best we’ve had anywhere. Fresh juices, a toaster that toasted the bread first time, a great selection of freshly cut up fruit (some in little pots), a chef who cooked omelettes to order plus a good selection of breads and pastries and bacon etc. They also had different types of milk for anyone needing that, they even had desnatada (skimmed). The room was a little oddly designed in that the bed backed on to the window but it was huge and very comfortable. There isn’t a bathroom but two separate cubicles for the shower and toilet, the sink is outside by the wardrobe. The shower has a handheld attachment as well as the overhead. There was a big issue with the shower cubicle leaking every time the shower was used as the lip wasn’t high enough for a towel to be put outside for you to step out on, it just scrunched up when you shut the door and it was so low water leaked out every time the shower was used. The hotel must spend a fortune washing and drying all the wet towels that get used mopping up! The towels were really thick and soft too. The air conditioning worked well and wasn’t too noisy. I found I had to really stretch to reach the hangars in the wardrobe (the type that clip onto the rail), a problem I’ve never encountered before, they seemed very high up. The safe was easy to operate and the minibar had about 5 drinks in it that were complimentary which was a nice touch. |The bar / Reception area was nice and there was a good selection of drinks available. Only negative was a huge screen showing an inane video of a woman’s face with random words running across the bottom on a continuous loop. Mind-numbingly boring but so big it kept attracting your attention! 🙈 The indoor pool and spa weren’t busy but the rooftop pool was always crowded.|All the staff we encountered were friendly and...
