Bordoy Continental Palma — Hotel in Palma

Foyer nice! Visit the Hotel Bar. Big bathroom. You can not only sing under the 2 showers but you can dance on the floor also. Big. Staff for Breakfast friendly, essentially the Cook control the buffet! From Reception you can rent a Towels for the Beach, 10€ deposit (this information is not easy to find, I ask the roommate, they know everything as usual). Order for Breakfast ,,Egg Benedictine,,. Close to coffe machine, missing 🍫 Pulver for Cappuccino. At the bar they have, but not close to the machine!! (The coffee machine...hmmm...the inclusive coffe in the room, smell better. Take it with you in the Breakfast Room). -Very close to the Hotel is good Vinoteca Restaurant. Palma is Big but concentrate on description if you want good food, is not far: -If you go out of Hotel, tourn left, walk till the street, than again left but cross the street, (walking in the way of old town), walk until nice sushi restaurant at the corner and turn in front if sushi r. on the right (street), walk on the right site about 50m. On the right site you will see long-long food street with very good restaurants. Only restaurants....

I stayed here for 4 night in September. The staff was very friendly and kind, from the people in reception to the cleaners and the waiters in breakfast as well. Breakfast was nice and they had a range of options, utensils were well cleaned and polished. Our room was big and spacious as well as the bathroom. The staff did a great job at keeping our room clean. However we had slight issues with our room. First, the lighting in the room during night time isn’t that great and the only lights in the room were the bedside lamps. Second, sometimes, after coming into our room from outings, our room smelled like sewage for a couple of minutes. It was horrible, but because we were constantly on the go we didn’t bring that up to the staff, we just opened the window for fresh air and headed out again.We probably would’ve made the staff aware of the issue if our stay was longer and the staff would’ve probably solved the issue if they were made aware of it. Nonetheless, we had a pleasant stay and will definitely stay in this hotel again if visiting...

WAR AND LEGAL GREED I didn't stay at the hotel, but my experience with it was DISAPPOINTING.

I made "no-cancellation" reservations at three hotels and a car rental agency; then the war between Iran and Israel erupted; all air travel in Israel was suspended, and I couldn't leave for my trip to Spain.

Despite the "no-cancellation" status, the agency and the other two hotels went beyond their legal right to charge me, and in a VERY gracious manner agreed to cancel the reservations without any payment!

This attitude shows they don't regard their clients as cash machines, and that for them - human thought & feeling is more important than revenues.

Bordoy Continental Palma preferred to take the cold procedural way, factually noting there are no exceptions to "no-cancellation".

Per the title of this review, this attitude is both totally legal and pure greed. It also shows that for this hotel, its guests are first and foremost cash...
