Sandro Restaurante — Restaurant in Palma

We ended up by recommendation in Sandro restaurant and choosing to dine exactly there from all the other places around. Beautiful wall art. Cosy and comfortable ambience. Poor attention to detail within the service. Some dishes were excellent and some complete disaster. After pointing out to the owner the flaws - he did apologize and made the necessary adjustments. However in rare times when I can enjoy dinner with my whole family I do not wish to encounter such issues while dinning out. I wish you all the best and to put a bit more effort into the great place you own, so it can be on the top rated restaurants in Palma as it used to be. I very much dislike to put low reviews or any reviews at all to be honest. I won’t be coming back, not because I don’t want to give you another chance but because my time is more precious and even though it’s a 1 star review I hope you take it in a positive manner with no hard feelings! I wish you all the best once again and many satisfied customers from now on and with consistency. I absolutely believe you can have excellent rate for Food, Service and Atmosphere. Best of wishes...

Update: still great, underrated and quality Italian no frills but authentic Italian cuisine. Just ate here a few days ago for dinner again. This place should get more 5 star reviews! Authentic Italian cuisine, perfect Al dente pasta, the ragú Morgan freeman was raving about, truly deserved it- among other pasta dishes that were exceptional as well! From the fresh truffle pasta, real Italian carbonara and the pork cheek dish! Plus we loved the tiramisu and Nutella desserts. Service was great, we were well attended, the waiter (Juan) was professional and on top of his game even when he was alone. Then the chef (Sandro) also attended to the customers. This restaurant offered a kiddie meal (menu infantil) that was a good portion for a child and same quality and choices from the menu just child friendly portion with a good price. We had a table reservation, and we sat down at the table. While waiting, we saw a huge cockroach on the wall right next to the table. We were frightened seeing this in December, a time when cockroaches don't appear. Even though the workers tried telling us that it's normal in Mallorca and that they have pest control, it is not normal to see a giant bug in a restaurant that is almost empty in winter. If this were summer, maybe I would accept it, but in winter, that is not a good sign in a restaurant. We were disgusted and switched places at the last minute. Thankfully, no food was ordered, I would not like to know if the food is safely dealt with away from pests. I'm really disappointed, and hopefully, they get closed down for a while to think about their restaurant and it's cleanliness. No matter if famous people have gone, keep it in mind. I would strongly avoid places with these occurrences in odd times...
