We booked this holiday at the HM Jaime III hotel in Palma via Jet2 Holidays, stating at the time of booking that we wanted a quiet, twin room. ||On our arrival at the hotel, this was not found to be what we had requested, our bed was a double mattress slung upon a twin base.||The following day, I informed the hotel staff about our dissatisfaction with the room type & location.||I was informed that room type was a request and not guaranteed, even though we had made the booking for this room over 6 months in advance!!||I informed the staff due to issues with my sleep (medical condition) we needed a twin bed to ensure a good night’s sleep. Unfortunately, the Staff were very uncooperative, informing us that no twin rooms were available until two days before the end of our stay. I informed Jet2 about this, who contacted the Hotel directly, only to be met with the same response.||It was noted that there were new arrivals & departures every day in the large-capacity hotel, but they were unable to relocate us to another room.||||Unknown to us both our nightmare had only just begun.||Please bear in mind when reading this that I have high-frequency hearing loss (so my hearing is far from perfect) and I also brought along (& wore) wax earbuds at night for noise isolation.||||Our room was allocated on the second floor between the lift & cleaners’ cubby hole (not the quietest of locations).||||The double glazing (sound isolation) within our room was far from adequate, being close to the busy road outside and the sound of motor vehicles can be heard throughout the night & early morning.||||If that was not enough, there was the constant banging and dragging of tables from the floors above, occurring randomly throughout the night. Whether this was rooms being valeted through the night for occupants the following day or just inconsiderate occupants (or a combination of both) is a mystery.||||We again reported all the above noise issues to reception, requesting to be moved to another room, again we were refused ||||On two other nights, occupants in the rooms above held late-night drinking parties in their rooms causing considerable noise until the early hour of the morning.||I complained to reception when the late night parties where in progress & the following day, again my request to be move was again refused !!||||As a result, our holiday was ruined, spending the next day feeling washed out and shattered trying to catch up on our lost sleep. ||I have never been subjected to sleep deprivation as a form of torture, however this comes as close as you get. YOU HAVE...
Read moreA Disappointing Renovation at Jaime Tercero, Palma de Mallorca
After hearing that Hotel Jaime Tercero had undergone a full year-long renovation, we were curious to see the transformation and decided to stop by for a drink. Unfortunately, what we found was deeply disappointing.
To our surprise, the hotel looked almost identical to how it was before—if not worse. The renovation is, quite frankly, appalling. The lobby in particular is shockingly underwhelming. It lacks warmth, character, or any inviting design element. Instead, it resembles a sterile bathroom or a dentist’s waiting room—dark, cold, and devoid of colour or charm.
This is, without doubt, one of the most underwhelming renovations I’ve ever seen. The overall aesthetic is utterly unappealing and, in my opinion, the hotel now looks worse than it did before the refurbishment. It’s a real shame, especially considering the time and effort supposedly put into this overhaul.
I have no idea who was responsible for the design choices—whether the interior designers or architects—but it’s hard not to question their vision and taste. It’s truly disappointing that this is the final result after a full...
Read moreWe’re enjoying our stay here in HM Jaime 3
The hotel is clean and fresh and looks recently refurbished
Staff are nice and friendly
The parking is in HM Blanc around 10 mins away. We have an ID Buzz and it only just fits in. It would have been nice to have a valet service just to reduce the stress levels
We will be using the spa later but it looks nice
Ac works well max lowest temp 19c
Bed is comfy and you have spare pillows
Capsule coffee maker and kettle are in the room
Obviously there is road noise as you are in the city centre but closed my the balcony doors blocks almost all of it out
Balcony light turns off on it’s own
My only minor criticism would be not enough lighting. The bathroom could do with more ceiling lighting and the stairs are black with no real lighting
The wellness centre is a small Jacussi, Suaña, steam room 2 x showers and 3 tiled loungers. The gym equipment is in the same are so it’s not very practical. The gym equipment is a bike, rowing machine and some dumbbells. I would say it’s better than nothing but don’t let the spa be the reason you book, otherwise you may be disappointed
We would...
