Grupotel Molins offers a pleasant and scenic retreat along the northern coast of Mallorca, with a blend of relaxed atmosphere, attentive service, and striking coastal views. While the overall experience was enjoyable, there are areas that could benefit from enhancement to align with the standards of a premium seaside resort.
The hotel is ideally located just steps—within 100 yards—from the beach, providing easy access to the shoreline. However, during our stay, the sea conditions were consistently rough, with red flags posted most days. In one particularly serious incident, a young boy had to be rescued from the water, highlighting the strong currents and need for caution. While this is, of course, beyond the hotel’s control, it is worth noting for those expecting calm swimming conditions.
The pool and bar area was one of the highlights of the property—clean, well-maintained, and ideal for relaxing. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel a couple of times, and while the offering was standard, it was satisfying. The club sandwich served at the bar was notably good. Staff throughout the property were courteous and helpful, offering solid customer service across the board.
Guest rooms were clean and nicely furnished, with balconies that offer exceptional views of the sea and surrounding cliffs—an undeniable asset of the property. However, the beds were on the firm side, and may not suit all guests’ comfort preferences. Additionally, while the rooms were pleasant, some elements of the hotel could benefit from modern updates to match today’s expectations for comfort and design.
Amenities include a small spa and a limited gym, which is a nice bonus, though the gym offers only basic equipment. There is also a dining room for evening meals, though we did not dine there and cannot speak to the quality of the dinner service.
A particularly convenient feature of Grupotel Molins is the valet parking service. Guests can pull up to the front entrance and have their vehicle parked for them—a welcome convenience, especially in a coastal area with limited public parking.
In summary, Grupotel Molins is a solid choice for travelers seeking a tranquil coastal setting with beautiful views, a nice pool area, and friendly service. While the rough beach conditions and firm beds detracted slightly from the experience, the hotel still offers good value and a relaxing environment. With some modern updates, it has the potential to elevate itself to a truly standout...
Read moreOur stay was here was AMAZINGGGGGG! I almost don’t want to leave a review in case this place gets too popular as we will definitely be going back again this year or next year! :P
The hotel itself is really beautiful, modern and clean and has amazing views. It’s situated in a really cute small town, next to a couple of beautiful beaches, with an epic backdrop of mountains and greenery. Hotel really well maintained by the staff.
Grupotel REALLY looked after us, we booked a sea-view room, and they’ve gave us one of the most beautiful rooms they have with a sea-view, it also over looked a beautiful beach and huge sea cliffs! It had a HUGE modern balcony, the whole room top to bottom was so modern and clean, great facilities, lots of space, really one of the best rooms we’ve stayed in, and we spend quite a lot of money on our hotels in general so we are used to modern hotels but this room was honestly 10/10. Couldn’t ask for more.
Now I would like to talk about the STAFF! Unreal luxury service provided by all of the team at the Grupotel Molins. Honestly I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff here, what a great team and they are a huge credit to their company!
Specifically I would like to mention Pedro, the head of the waiter team, he made us feel like VIPs, he’s so amazing with people, so kind and polite and tentative. He really looked after us!! I’m vegetarian and he was always ready to explain the options at the buffet and reassure me and my girlfriend that we could ask for something different if I didn’t see something I liked at the buffet (the buffet was always amazing though and I had plenty of options, buffet food was actually really delicious, many thanks to the chefs there). Thank you so much Pedro you are a really cool guy and you’re part of our great memories made on our holiday to Mallorca. Muchas Gracias mi amigo!
Also I would like to Mention Jaume (hope I’ve got his name right!) he was also I think the other head/manager of the waiter team. He’s really polite and kind, always checks on you throughout the evening during your meal, what a credit to the company he is! Very cool guy.
The whole team in the dining area were absolutely amazing! Unfortunately I didn’t get all their names but each member of the team was so lovely to us and really are a huge credit to the company! Wow these kind of staff are rare!!...
Read morePositive Aspects:
• The view is truly beautiful. For the best experience, I recommend booking rooms on the right side of the building (when facing the hotel from the street). For example, rooms like 401 or 402 offer a more open and scenic sea view. Rooms on the left side only offer a partial view unless you lean out over the balcony.
• The location near the sea is excellent – just a few steps and you’re at the beach.
• The breakfast is fantastic – large, varied buffet with lots of options for all tastes.
• There is a spa available, which adds to the relaxation factor.
• Reception staff are very friendly and helpful – always attentive and quick to assist.
• There is a lifeguard at the pool at all times, which gives a good feeling of safety.
• The area of Cala San Vicente is peaceful and charming, with a few really lovely restaurants nearby. Highly recommend Las Marinas – great food and very fair prices.
Neutral Note:
• The sound of the waves (or sea) is clearly audible from the rooms. Some guests may find it relaxing, others might prefer more quiet – so just something to be aware of.
Negative Aspects:
• No direct hotel-owned loungers or sunbeds on the beach. You’ll have to rent them separately.
• Toilet paper is only two-ply, which feels a bit out of place in a hotel of this category.
• The elevators are very small, and during peak times, it can take a while until one is available.
• The rooms are quite compact, especially if you’re staying for more than a few nights or have a lot of luggage.
• The gym is quite small and limited – fine for a quick session, but not ideal for regular training.
• During our stay, there were 3 days with a red flag at the beach due to high waves, meaning we couldn’t go into the sea at all. Something to keep in mind if swimming in the ocean is a big priority.
• There are jellyfish (medusas) in the area, and guests should be cautious when swimming - we got stung
Conclusion:
All in all, this is a cool hotel in a beautiful location with good service and amenities – especially the breakfast, the sea view, and the friendly staff stand out. However, the price-to-value ratio doesn’t fully match up. For the price charged, you’d expect a bit more. Still, if you’re looking for a relaxing few days by the sea and book the right room, you’ll likely...
