Restaurant U Mayol — Restaurant in Pollença

I went today, 13th September, 2023. The place is really nice (tables, chairs, lighting). However, we (my fiancee & I) didn't have a great customer service. For me is really important to have a very gentle and kind customer service. Unfortunately, the waiter/host (he was doing both) was absolutely rude 😕. First, he didn't explain properly were we can sit because we were only having drinks, not eating. When we asked, where can we sit because we were only drinking, he said "sit wherever you want and the menu is over there (pointing the one that was next to street)". We saw the menu and it only showed food, not drinks. Ok, so we sat where we wanted. We asked our drinks and after some time he came asking: "what are we eating?". 😶 We said we are not eating. Then, he got angry because we were sitting in an area were people eat. We were able to see his face red and talking to us with a high tone. Certainly, he didn't explain properly because it was not our intention to do something wrong. We went to the restaurant because I saw it on Google super cute and with good options to eat. I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Restaurant U Mayol in Mallorca, and it was one of the most memorable meals I’ve ever experienced. The rice was simply the best I have ever tasted—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully balanced. The meat was extraordinary, so tender it literally melted in my mouth, showcasing the chef’s skill and passion for quality ingredients.

To finish, the homemade desserts were nothing short of spectacular—crafted with care, authentic, and bursting with flavor. Each bite felt like a perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.

Great food and atmosphere with AC indoors. Waiters hit or miss in terms of attitude. Manager instead of thanking us for returning the next day, cautioned us that kids could not run around. One time, our 1 year old had gotten away from us the day before and walked indoors no more than 3 meters before catching him, but the manager thought it necessary to reprimand us a second time. The level of speed, attentiveness or verbal formality that this restaurant provides do not match this guy’s expectations for his customers. Should consider another profession.
