Just returned from this really impressive||boutique hotel with only 12 rooms and thankfully for August, adult only! The room we had (No 2, first floor) was tastefully decorated, spacious with a separate sitting area and a large bathroom (shower only) Do note there is no lift/elevator so rooms on the 2nd floor may mean some exercisel The bed incredibly confoftable and the shutters on the window pretty much blacked-out all light (oerfect for mel. TV had very limited channels but access to Netflix and other streaming channels and the WiFi was reliable from start to finish. Breakfast was included and was good (not spectacular) with some decent a la carte options plus some buffet usuals (cereals, juices, cheese, meats, pastries etc) and the wonderful pool was almost always empty with plenty of sunbeds to choose from. ocation is fantastic for Soller old-town; a short 2 minute walk to the square and also the tram that takes you (25 minutes) to Port de Soller||The staind-out performer was Matthew, who works his socks off running around to make sure everything is perfect for allthe guests and his attention to customer service is right up there for me with the best we have come across. In fact all the staff went above and beyond to help us with anything we wanted and do an incredible job.||There are a number of things to note which add not to be difficult but to (hopefully) help other travellers and also to nudge management.||1. There was a school (l was told only summer) next door and there was playground noise from am one day and 8:35am the next. As the lightest of sleepers this did wake me on both mornings.||2. Car parking is an issue. We got VERY lucky to find a space in the open-air car oark||opposite but the alternatives were (lthink) 5 mins+ away which would have been a pain. As we did have a space we didn't move the hire car for the uration of the trip which negates the reason of hiring!||3. Lunch options (around the pool)were great but after 4 lunches were a bit "'samey". We did ask for something of fmenu and they very happily obliged but perhaps a "special" here and there would be well received by guests. Ultimately, none of the above really detracted from a wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable stay (and for Europe in August, great value) and 1 would not be at all surprised if we return...
Read moreI give this hotel the top marks because it fully met my expectations. We had Room 2, which contained a Queen size bed; large enough to sleep 3 to 4 persons! The shower was good and spacious. We didn't need to touch the AC as the room was always at a perfect cool temperature and not noisy at all to disrupt sleeping. ||Breakfast was pleasant with fresh fruit and pastries amongst other cold stuff, with options for hot breakfast to be cooked to order. Breakfast was at the terrace surrounding the pool.||The pool is on the smaller side but sufficient for swimming. Plenty of sun beds and as the pool area is surrounded by shade, there is a good choice between lying in the sun or being in the shade. Its a small hotel and the pool area was never busy.||The hotel is away from the main square so tends to be quiet (aside from a few hours during the day with children playing nearby), and is a very short walk to the square. We ate at different restaurants each night and four of these were less than 400 yards walking. This is a small hotel but packs a punch in quality. The only downside of the size is a lack of a bar open in evenings which you tend to get with larger hotels.||Lastly, I need to mention the politeness and attention of the team that work there. All are very helpful and are clearly trained to ensure guests are...
Read moreWe celebrated our wedding in Soller in July 2023. We stayed at L'Avenida with our closest friends and family for the week of our wedding and we could not have asked for a better experience. Our party reserved all 12 rooms in the hotel and Matthew, Karen and the rest of the team could not have done enough for us!
Having stayed in L'Avenida (and some other hotels) the year before, we were quick to choose L'Avenida as the hotel we would like to stay in for the celebrations. As an LGBTQ+ couple, we also felt extremely comfortable and welcomed by the staff.
The rooms are immaculate, regardless of whether you're in the largest or smallest available room. The food and drinks are fantastic and very reasonably priced - possibly the best breakfast selection we've had, particularly for a small boutique hotel. The pool area is well cared for - Matthew and Karen were always about to check the towels, manoeuvre umbrellas, serve drinks and enjoyed a friendly chat!
Our friends and family still speak of the wonderful few days they spent at L'Avenida and how great all of the staff were.
Myself and my wife cannot wait to return to the hotel for our one year anniversary this year (and hopefully for many more in...
