Golden Bay — Restaurant in San Miguel de Abona

I have to say this was one on the best Asian cuisine we’ve had in a long time. We are from the UK so a regular Asian cuisine in a Saturday night is tested often. I only ever like chicken foo yung , this was not on the menu. The owner gladly made me my favourite dish. This was a winner for me. Together with the Asian salad , this was absolutely delicious. My hubby and my daughter is extremely fussy , thoroughly enjoyed there meal too. We went back again , so dined there twice, trying lots of other dishes . if we’d not have sampled lots of other places around the island to eat, We probably would have eaten there again. The service was brilliant,even though they were super busy , all our meals were fresh , hot & tastey. Myself and my family read the reviews of this restaurant and it sounded really good. We are currently staying in the Alua Atlantic were the food is very very bland so we were desperate for some flavoursome food. It wasn’t the best Chinese I’ve ever had but it wasn’t the worst either. The reason for my poor score is the fact that 2 of us were up all night being sick. The way it is set out you feel like your eating in a tent. We ordered Teipan chicken and prawns on their advice but we got chicken and duck. Prawn crackers taste a bit strange and I think overall the food was quite greasy. Such a shame as we had such high hopes, let’s hope it was just a one off. So I can’t recommend it...

This is the worst restaurant we ate in while on holiday in Tenerife in June. We had the chicken noodle soup which gave my partner food poisoning, he was violently sick within minutes of eating the soup. I then had to fork out nearly €200 on emergency doctor's and medication spoiling our holiday. When we tried to tell the manager he would not admit that his soup caused the poisoning, he didn't even apologise,very,very poor. Do not eat at this restaurant unless you wish to not only endure food poisoning and spending a fortune on medical expenses but to also have your holiday ruined. STAY AWAY FROM...
