The 19th Hole Tenerife — Restaurant in San Miguel de Abona

With me and the golf society finishing up a great round of golf on the 18th hole. We couldn’t think of a more fitting way of celebrating the day by having a drink in the 19th hole pub that looks over the 18th hole. This way we could sit back enjoy a cold drink and watch the others from the society finish there round. However we was extremely disappointed, the 19th hole pub was was not golf themed or golf related. We walked into a very cold uninterested reception from the staff members especially the waiter who really didn’t want to break conversation with his colleagues to even acknowledge us. We asked them if we could sit down or if they showed us to our seats to which he ignored and carried on talking to his colleagues. Eventually a lady showed us to some seats over by a swimming pool in the hotel. There were plenty of seats over looking the18th hole so we politely asked to sit there, with an Enormous sigh she said ok and took us over. We asked do we go to the bar or get served she said the waiter will be with you in 2 mins, 10 mins passed and we had to go and get his attention, he said he would be right over and then continued to either chat behind the bar and then just when we thought he was coming over he started speaking with the mature female guests. We called him again and nothing so we left we remained polite at all times as we would in any of our own clubs we walked past the manger and they didn’t say a word so they clearly do not want golfers there. To any golfers reading this, this bar is attached to a hotel and not golf themed at all so do not let the name fool you, this is a karaoke/cabaret bar set up for the hotel guest and from what we could tell do not want golfers there. I have never been to a place where I would rate everything and everyone 5 stars. If I could I would’ve given 10 stars. I came with my 5 friends (ages between 19-21). So let me give you a detailed review.

First off. The food. I had a margarita pizza with extra mozzarella and garlic mushrooms. Probably the best mushrooms I’ve ever had. The pizza was also good. I loved the extra mozzarella. My friend Xebun and I shared the foods we ordered. And he ordered an angus beef burger with an extra side of cheesy fries. Personally I loved the fresh cheese on the fries and the burger was absolutely amazing. Just towards the end of the meal the bread of the burger got a little soggy but still very good. There’s a lot of different kinds of foods. So I didn’t expect it all to be good but oh my was all the food incredible

Second. The service. I have honestly never met a nicer server than Miha. He was so sweet and kind. So helpful. All the staff also spoke English which for us foreign travelers was amazing. Also there was a live singer with a guitar and the songs he played were so nice and calm. It made the atmosphere amazing.

So ofc this is a great transition into the last category: Atmosphere. Theway the place was decorated was so calm and the view was sooo very nice and close to the beach. As I said before there was also a live musician who had an amazing voice.

P.S. the price per person is a bit higher cuz we had a lot of (very amazing and cheap)...

A huge well done to Makri and her team for organising a brilliant 60th birthday party for my husband, Roland! There were approximately 65 guests with 3 singers who occupied the back area of the bar on Sunday 16th March 2025. Makri and her team made sure the bar was efficient and everyone was served very quickly over 7 hours. The buffet food provided was also very plentiful with several dishes that were exceptional and beyond our expectations. In fact the whole party was a great success and many guests were very happy with the food provided by the chefs and the great service at the bar.

If you are looking for a party venue this is the place. Under Makri's guidance he staff were so attentive and really listened to our very particulars requests.
