I went to the hotel sensimar rocador for my honeymoon and found the experience quite enjoyable.
The hotel gave us a bottle of champagne on arrival in our room, saying that it was complimentary. I am unsure whether or not the bottle was gifted because it was standard practise or because it was our honeymoon. Either way, it was well received!
The room we were in had a fridge... That we discovered on our final night 😐.
We were fortunate to have a room with a large balcony area with a couch and extendable maiden with a nice view of the beach which is accessible through the hotel (as well as from the street.)
The food was AMAZING. Words can't describe how good the food is. There was always plenty of variety at the buffet restaurant and the strict clothing requirements made you feel like you were in a self serve restaurant rather than in a grotty 2 star buffet. There were a few theme nights whilst we stayed and the foods reflected the theme. The hotel is not daft however, when you finish your food and go up for another plate, often my cutlery would be cleared away by the time I got back to my table. This lead to some awkward situations where i would have to ask for more cutlery, as this wasn't self-serve.
Breakfast was always consistent with eggs in varied configurations, bacon, fried toast, beans, pancakes, wakes and a selection of sweet cakes and cereals.
The hotel gave us two reservations for the Culinarium and Sa Font restaurant which are the restaurants the hotel owns. We only went to one reservation because we enjoyed the buffet so much, but the food at the Culinarium was quite good. We got the vibe that the Culinarium was very posh... The sort of place where "French fries" means 5 chips. The food was great though.
The night time entertainment was very different with external entertainment teams coming in every night. It was all a bit hit and miss, we didn't enjoy it as much as the drunk Germans 🤣.
The pool... The pool was very cool, temperature and design. 1.4m depth and great to chill off in. You could always get a spot by the pool and could get hotel towels by trading in a token you get at check in. You could get your towel changed every two days.
The area around the hotel is quite convenient also, lots and lots of SPAR supermarkets, each with varying prices, but then a lot of restaurants selling Majorcan food and English food alike. A general nice vibe without a lot of hassle.
The hotel also had free wi-fi which wasn't very reliable but good enough for casual browsing.
The hotel is around 2 hours from the airport in a coach, which is just about bearable for a 6ft6 guy who seldom fits in any vehicle seats!
Would recommend the hotel. No kids = good times...

Our main goal for this trip was to relax and recharge, and thanks to the incredible staff, it turned into an unforgettable experience.
Special shoutout to Sofia, one of the best instructors we've ever met! Her energy during training sessions and pool activities was contagious. She’s not only professional but also incredibly open-minded and encouraging—she even inspired my girlfriend to try CrossFit for the first time!
Nette (hope I spelled that right!) was always making sure everyone felt comfortable and included, no matter the activity. Her warm and engaging approach really stood out.
Maria brought so much joy and laughter to the games (like Jenga!). Her cheerful personality created a super-friendly atmosphere and made it easy to connect with others.
And of course, Coline, the “jack of all trades”! From Aqua Fun to quizzes and cocktail classes, she hosted everything with natural charisma. As someone with nearly a decade of public speaking experience, I can confidently say she’s a born presenter who knows how to keep a crowd engaged.
The variety of activities was impressive and well-balanced for all age groups. What we loved most was how the team encouraged participation without ever being pushy—they made you want to join in!
These four were truly the highlight of our trip. They deserve recognition (and maybe even a raise!) for their hard work and amazing energy. We’d love to know where they go next within TUI Blue—we’d follow them in a heartbeat!
Also, a big thank you to the pool bar and restaurant staff—always cheerful, kind, and professional. Special mention to Jesús, who was an absolute legend!
The reception team was also fantastic—friendly and quick to resolve any issues. We did have a hiccup with our room on the first night (we booked a pool view with a queen bed but got a smaller bed and no view). Thankfully, the team acted quickly and moved us the next day to the room we originally booked. While we appreciated the gesture of offering free sunbeds, we would have preferred a bit more honesty rather than calling it an “upgrade.” Still, we loved the final room and appreciated the swift resolution.
All in all, we had a fantastic time. Some of us had been here before, and we’ll definitely be back—or at least staying within the TUI Blue family. The staff made our holiday truly special.
Thank you for everything, and wishing you an amazing 2025 season!

So, first off the good: Staff is very friendly, and will try to help you with anything. We were welcomed with a nice beverage and a smile. Also the location is amazing, near the wonderfull beach, cala gran bridge, and the center of Cala D'or.
Then the not-so-good: Rooms were very outdated, dark and because of their layout small (not like the pictures on their website) We couldnt fit our clothes in the closet for 2 people, we couldnt receive wifi, rooms are VERY noisy, beds are too short for a tall person, and curtains dont block the light. You also couldnt leave the door open at night because the wind would blow the airvents (near the door) up and make a horrible sound all night. This is also noticeable by just opening and closing the door.
Cleaners walked in on us (very interesting) while we had a no-disturb sign on the door.. And didnt clean our room, when we didnt have the sign on the door.
Then the food: Breakfast is good, just make sure you get to it before 10am because the (much smaller) restaurant is till 11am but offers 1/4 of the food options. We had the half-pension option (wich included diner) I must say, the buffet was alright.. nothing too fancy but also nothing to complain about. However, the other 2 restaurants that were mentions are not (realy) there. The a'la-carte restaurant is in the same place as the late breakfast, and offers exactly the same as the buffet. Just now you receive it, instead of having to take your own. The same with the BBQ restaurant, its prepared on the bbq. Thats the only difference, food and options are limited and the same.
It was also mentioned just during check-in, you can only use the A'la carte option or bbq option once per week (instead of have a little change every day of the week)
And finaly the overal facilities and price/quality. The layout of this place is very strange, and the signs are not clear. Some facilities like the gym, and spa are a joke. They are there on paper, but in reality the average home spa or home gym would probably offer you more. For the price and what you receive, i will definitely go somewhere...
