Cala Gran Beach Club — Restaurant in Santanyí

My friends and I ate here a few days ago. It took ages just to place our order and when the waitress took our orders he kept talking into his earpiece, seeming distracted and had us repeat our order many times. When my friend asked a basic question “how big is the club sandwich” she got hit with full-on mansplaining and the waitress made her feel stupid for asking. When the food finally arrived, we were very disappointed with the Ceaser salad. The portion was little and it didn’t look appetizing. It came with barely any dressing so I had to ask for more. The waitress said sure, disappeared, came back to ask again if I still wanted it, then disappeared and then the dressing finally arrived just as I finished the last bite of my bone-dry salad. When I said I had already eaten my salad and didn’t need the dressing anymore (since it took them 20 min) she gave me a mean look. Bonus points for throwing in a dry anchovy on the top when we specified that we only wanted it if it was a part of the dressing. The green aioli was a tragedy—flavorless and radioactive.

Nobody asked if the food was okay (spoiler: it wasn’t), even though we were visibly unimpressed the entire time. Getting the check took forever, which was fitting for a meal that felt like it would never end. We asked to split the bill which also became an issue. The staff seemed too busy to take care of their customers.

The day after, my friend went to their downstairs bar to order a blue slush, the guy working there started making it and my friend stood ready with her card to pay when he out of nowhere says aggressively “Talk faster, I have a lot to do, work with me.”

Would I return? Only if...

Bad food and rude staff. Went with my friends. The waiter who took our order had a earplug in his ear so he didnt hear what we said so we had to repeat our order. Me and some of my friends ordered ceasar salad. We got the worst Ceasar salad we have ever seen or tasted. The portion was very small (looked liked a side dish) - nearly any chicken or dressing and we got half an egg of the size of a small bird. And the salad was topped with two slices of anchovy, which left the salad with a bad taste. We asked the waiter about the anchovy and he said that it was only in the dressing. My friends asked for more dressing and it took ages for them to bring it. We didnt finish our salad. Further, it took very long time for them to bring us our bill - we had to ask several staff members before we got our bill. Then it took even longer time for them to bring us the card terminal so we could pay and get as fast as possible...

I ate here a few days ago, and I must say that the service that we received is one of the poorer ones I’ve ever experienced. Some of the staff that served us were rude, and just seemed overall uninterested and somewhat confused. Especially a couple of the waiters was just straight up rude, which made the setting uncomfortable, and we couldn’t get out of there any faster. This was also a hard task, since it took a good while to put in orders and get the check. I ordered the ceasar salad, and in my opinion I do think I could get better salad at the local grocery store. The salad consisted of a few dry leaves, almost no dressing and some croutons. The portion was the size of an appetizer, which don’t make sense due to the prices.
