Boutique Redonda — Hotel in Valencia

Please do not stay here if you're looking for a good nights sleep. I stayed in R-2 (first floor room), and I assume this is the same for the other rooms.

Before I continue, I've given the hosts 2 weeks to reply to my complaint, with no response.

The room itself is fine. However, during the night and early hours, the noise from the surrounding streets and inside the building was unbearable. I had minimal sleep for the 2 nights that I stayed here.

Music, people, vehicles, doors constantly being slammed, trolleys/bins being moved around outside, all into the early hours. With no sound-proofing, you can hear everything as if you are sleeping outside. I've stayed centrally in many cities, and never experienced this level of constant noise and clarity.

After the first night I did complain to the hosts, and while I was offered different accommodation nearby, I felt rather insulted to be asked to pay more. It's not because I wanted to change location or upgrade, it's because the room isn't fit for purpose.

In the end, I only stayed for 2 nights (I originally booked for 3) as had to get home early, but I'm actually glad as I'm not sure I could have put up with another nights stay here.

Reservamos este apartamento como te lo venden, algo lujoso, excediendo el precio que solemos gastar habitualmente en nuestros viajes, para celebrar un cumpleaños especial y resultó ser una mala decisión. La limpieza brilla por su ausencia. El apartamento está muy céntrico y no está insonorizado por lo que hasta que los bares de alrededor no cierran, el ruido es insoportable. El ascensor del edificio no funciona. Se aprovechan del late checking y con que llegues 5 minutos pasadas las 21h te cobran un extra de 30€ sin empatizar contigo lo más mínimo cuando saben que en carretera puede haber mil inconvenientes. Te piden 200€ de fianza en efectivo (yo exigí recibí pero si no lo haces no te lo dan) o aportando una tarjeta de crédito sin pasarela de pago, cosa que creo que no es ni legal... Great location in the centre of the old town and the flat was comfortable, clean and spacious. Check-in was smooth and we got some personal recommendations which were great.
